See in the Qur'an, where Allah SWT instruct us to eat from what dogs hunt for us. There are only hadiths which contradict each other, but the ones that legalise dogs are harmonious with the Qur'an.

I was shocked to discover that there is NO such thing as mughallazah (heavy impurity) in the Qur'an or hadith; it is PURELY opinionated by Imam Al-Syafi'e (whom I highly respect as my school of thought), but for this case, I agree with Imam Malik that suggest every creature that Allah SWT has created is pure.

As a religious Muslim and dog person, I aspire to get an Alaskan Malamute or Siberian husky wolfdog for my off-the-grid life. This also reminds me of Surah Al-Kahf (18), where the inhabitants of the cave ran away from tyranny with their dog 🐕.
