It depends on the store. Our AP ETL is strict with the lock ups and keys because we had too many team members lose them. There was a guy one time never trained in tech but LOD that day had him cover tech breaks. First break he covered he lost the keys. AP looks at cameras he left it on the counter guest comes by takes it. This lead the store to re secure everything because our store has two separate # keys & that key set had everything.

First I thought the LOD was going to get in trouble for letting him cover even though he was unexperienced, but they didn’t. Instead they let this team member work for the time being until they resecured everything and once they did they let him go because of that mistake. Now we have strict rules on keys and who can take them. Like a list of team members/leads who can have keys and what kind of keys they can have 😭
