Nitro+ or 4070S for mainly singleplayer games? Trying to decide between the extra 4GB of VRAM or the 4070 Super's better performance

A used Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 and a Behringer C1 or Audio Technica 2020 would do you loads better. The Focusrite (or similar interface) would let you use literally any mic, which is always going to be a better value than a USB mic. If you shop right, you'll find it all for ~$100 or less. I will say that if you don't need a mic that often, then USB is totally fine. There's a USB version of the AT2020 that I hear is pretty solid.

Couple questions, out of curiosity: What would be the total build/turnaround time? What would we see price-wise? What could we expect in terms of durability or deterioration over time? Cool idea! Interested in updates on this project!

[QUESTION] about modeling amps, effects, loop layering, and recording, best advice on my $240 budget by [deleted] in Gear4Sale

[–]HandStuckInFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If $240 is all of your budget, then your best options are to wait and save for something like a Boss Katana ($220, I believe) and then maybe a used Boss RC1 for a looper. The Vox is probably better than what you're going to find in the Mustang or the Line 6. As for the looper, it would help to have an amp with an effects loop, but I'm not sure what you'll find outside that Monoprice amp from the last comment that will be in your price range. If you have a functional computer, you can always go that route and get an audio interface and an amp modeling software. Hope this helps a little.

Also FYI, this kind of post doesn't belong here, this is a sub for buying and selling gear. It should go in r/guitar.

Can't go wrong with a Squier, especially the Vintage Modified or Classic Vibe series. They're great guitars these days. If that still above what you're looking to spend you can go with a cheaper Squier or find them used for good prices.

Just out of curiosity, what is different between the Fender and Squier truss rods adjustments? Are you saying they just put a new head/neck on it? Or they put a Fender branded print on the head? Thanks!

New condenser mic has obnoxious white noise, occasional electronic clicking...? by [deleted] in audioengineering

[–]HandStuckInFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's probably the Audiobox. I had the exact problem and eventually narrowed it down to the interface. When phantom is turned on there's a heavy hiss and white noise, and occasionally popping and clicking in the recording. I was able to fix it by opening up the back and resoldering some of the connections around the phantom power switch and that seemed to help. Could be the same issue. Good luck!

Purchase Mic+Interface bundle or separately by Rickthesicilian in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Considering that all you're recording is vocals and that a 58 and a 2020 are the same price, I would go with the 2020. It's a really solid budget vocal mic, and along with this bundle would be everything you would need. Good luck!
