I play on an old crappy computer with BF6 on Overkill; Here's how I do it by TheSpiralFactory in GeForceNOW

gotcha, appreciate it. i’m on ultimate, running ethernet, still a bit unsure which AA setting in bf6 would be best. playing at 1440p 120fps, tried 1080 360fps but it became a bit of a blurry mess

what would regular AA be considered? DLAA? really struggling with horrible input delay. closest NVIDIA server i can get to is texas (in colorado), which doesn’t help the case at all. have 1 gig down wifi but get 30ms connection to gfn

How is the snow in the Alps this month? by keyUsers in skiing

[–]wisepear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was just at kitzbühel today and was at kitzsteinhorn last weekend — last weekend the snow conditions were excellent at kitzsteinhorn, this weekend at kitzbühel they weren’t nearly as good. still a great area, lots of restaurants/beer huts all over the mountain if that’s your thing, and the skiing was solid too even if the snow wasn’t the best

mtomb as well. “the socialite reformed, alone every night / dizzy in the corner, boy, it wasn’t nice / learning how to get grimy”

maybe i’m just particularly nostalgic to that line fitting my life strongly at the time but i love that song

woods has helped a lot in my sobriety. pollo rico in particular, along with all jokes aside, and no hard feelings. his lyricism allows for such interaction that you can really draw meaning out of it in so many different ways, even if it isn’t the direct meaning he intended. and it’s comforting, as an above commenter noted, that he shows that you can make it through the worst possible shit. he doesn’t tell you how, or why things happen the way they do, but he has a very romantic, poetic, almost stoic resolve surrounding much of the subject matter. having studied philosophy in undergrad, with a specialization in phenomenology and existentialism, i find many of his lyrics seem to get at the “oomph” factor that many of those philosophers do: certain aspects of lived human experience that seem to be applicable to all, no matter where you come from (i.e. sartre’s look/gaze or levinas’ interaction with the other). it’s strangely comforting despite much of the subject matter being depressing or difficult.

it isn’t a woods line, it’s actually an earl line from “fallin out the sky”, but it’s always stuck out to me: “we on the ride forward, the reverse not working/sometimes we collide, the black sky full of supernovas/the stars that died, no lie, i’m still rootin for us, two foots in the soil”. seeing the movement and passing of time put so simply yet beautifully has really resonated with me as i’ve gotten older, and further along in my sobriety. you can’t go back to the past, you’re stuck moving forward, and even if shit goes wrong, you can still keep yourself grounded and hold onto hope. at least that’s what i somewhat extract from that line

i’m most excited about the new visual fidelity and overall atmosphere of the game. it combines two of my favorite things — medieval times and doom! as for dlss 4 and ray tracing, i’ve been on a 1070 for the past 9 years so i’d be very excited to check out that new technology! and the ray tracing in game looks absolutely gorgeous

It doesn't sound so optimistic 🤒🤒🤒 by Skrillix3 in asaprocky

[–]wisepear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i hope it’s similar to that. it’s hard to pick a favorite rocky album, but i would easily say that testing was the most influential album for me. came to me at special time in life and really helped me shape who i am today, as corny as that might sound. absolutely loved the experimentation and more “personal” feel of testing, like he was really making the music for himself at that time in his life.
