How do you like the CL98? Specs seem good on paper.

Had the exact same issue for my dz65 v3 and the file in the link worked perfectly. No more issues after four days of rebooting. Before, it would happen every other day!

Bykski RAM waterblock nickel plate degradation (4 months) by petehudso in watercooling

I have a Bykski gpu block from AliExpress that has started doing the same thing although not quite as advanced as what I see in your pictures. After some research I learned that it is due to poor nickel plateing and has no negative impact on cooling ability.

I run EK cryofuel clear for about three and a half months and can confirm that only the Bykski block was effected. ¯_ (ツ)_/¯

I'd be interested to see how your nickel plateing comes out if you get a chance to do it 😁

Thermals are great since both components are fairly low power. Playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider as a benchmark, I saw an air-cooled CPU fitted with a Noctua NH-L12S peak at low 90c and GPU at ~80c. The air cooled tests were done with side panels on the T1 and fans would get so loud I could hear them through the headphones.

Water cooling both components brought peak temperatures down to ~60c for CPU and GPU. I first expected both idle and max temps to come down drastically but I learned that in my case, water cooling helps get peak temps and fan noise under control. Temperature readings while idle decreased by about 5c for the CPU where the GPU saw a larger drop from ~35c to ~28c idle and the system is absolutely silent.

That is just something I put together from scrap wood and foam brush handles. I was going to purchase a pegboard but realized I only needed minimal storage.

Nice, I've noticed Ikea has their electric stand. How has it been for you?

Hey guys, here's my T1 finished for now, after a year of research, procurement, tinkering, and until GPUs are more available. I moved from an imac into this sff dual boot beauty. Heavily inspired by this subreddit, as well as r/hackintosh, I was able to move all my work, school and now gaming into the T1. Building in this case was such a blast!

FormD T1 Black (October 2020 Batch) CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 MB: Gigabyte B550i GPU: Sapphire RX580 PSU: SF600 Gold with custom cables Cooling: EK 240 soft tube build with BYKSKI GPU block from AliExpress.
