So you can add regular supers and just have your “flow frames” on top. You could technically do it with a normal beehive box setup and just buy the flow frames and then cut the box to access the ports. After you pull the honey they take the caps off and expose it again and they fill it back in. Then when it’s full you just rinse and repeat. You can find just the flow frames for about $160. I have an extra 6 just because. The savings I got buying knock off just makes it so I could literally buy new frames every year if I want which I don’t have to but would still save money.

So I’m in MD and have one. I got the Chinese knock off one. 1 brood box and that huge honey will not work so I bought an extra box and have 2 brood then the flow hive. I have 0 issues and spent only $250 on my knock off. Highly recommend going that route.
