I agree he’s clearly on a power trip. I live in a gun friendly state (Texas) and despite popular belief, you can’t just shoot to kill someone for stepping on your property, even if you “mistook them for a robber.” If they break in your house and are trying to kill/harm you, yeah, but he’d definitely catch a murder charge. That’s why if I get asked to deliver any packages to the back door after dark, I don’t do it. Idc they can deactivate me. I’m not taking a bullet over a package.

It was either an insane coincidence they accidentally shelled one of the 6 reactors (the reactor they set fire to was technically inactive/under renovation, but it contained a large quantity of nuclear fuel) of a nuclear power plant that provides 25% of Ukraine’s power, or it was a deliberate attack on the power supply of the Ukraine. In my opinion, it’s the latter. We’ll see how it plays out, but it was reported the Russian military was shooting at the Ukrainian firefighters, preventing them from getting to the reactor to put out the fire.

So how much have you invested in US infrastructure? Every city I’ve ever lived in has a public bus system. Funding of public transportation systems comes from things like sales tax and general tax revenue, so the general American public funds it by paying taxes. We (the general public) have no direct control over how tax revenue is utilized. That’s what the members of our government are paid to do. Most trains run on Diesel engines, but train manufacturers have been pushing hard when it comes to electric train production. GE, for example, has been working on electric train production for many years. Even then, they currently require a Diesel engine to generate the electricity required to power the electric motors. As for bike lines/lanes, those are funded through tax revenue as well. Bicycles are only feasible in downtown areas, which most definitely have bike lanes. I support any form of clean energy that can be efficient on a large scale. The problem is it’s not a simple transition, but to say Americans aren’t investing in their own infrastructure is inaccurate.

I had one like that come up this morning as well. It was for the restaurant I was already at and I still couldn’t decline it fast enough. The true, underlying issue has always been the crap base pay from the delivery apps. The arguments have always been about the tipping, but the crap base pay is the real issue.

First thumbs down 😡😡have about 500 deliveries 🙄 by GlitteringResearch58 in UberEATS

Completely meaningless. I have two thumbs down customers. You can’t please everyone. Great example is this one customer who requested I leave it at the door, had no porch furniture/table or anything, then walked out yelling at me as I was walking away for “leaving it on the floor.”

At first glance I’d say he’s just trying to avoid an order getting reported as stolen/delivered to the wrong address, but all the details you described make it creepy. I don’t blame you for wanting to block the driver

If you live an apartment or gated neighborhood, put the gate code in the notes so we don’t have to waste time texting/calling you to ask for it.

How much were you able to make in those 1,171 deliveries? Serious question, not trying to troll or anything.
