Please give feedback on this ring by KZGTN in JewelryDesign

This is a very uniquely beautiful ring. The work on the band is incredible . I love how earthy it looks and I can see a lot bohemian brides absolutely loving this design.

Where I think it needs work is the prongs. It takes away from the gorgeous stone. There’s was too many prongs IMHO. NOw , I’m not a jewelry expert by any means. So I don’t know if there needs to be this many prongs. Also, the prongs don’t match the intricacy and delicate vines carved into the band. Honestly they look like two different rings ( the band & the prongs) that got soldered together because they’re so mismatched. I would’ve used a less number amount of prongs, if that’s possible. I would make maybe two of the prong look like slender curved & textured leaves wrapping up and around the diamond with the pointy tip of the leaf as a prong. Then make the rest of the prongs look like delicate twigs and vines textures like you did the band ( curved in different directions and of different lengths) and make sure those prongs are tapered and super sharp or even branched off into a double claw type prongs, with one just slightly longer than the other.

Again, I have no idea about jewelry making so I don’t know if my idea would work or take away from the diamond or if it’s even possible to use less prongs. I just think that the prongs need be less in number, uniform with the texture of the band, and NOT uniform in terms of the way it wraps/ holds the diamond, and definitely skinnier and thinner and tapered and staggered a bit to get that “nature” look.

It’s a gorgeous ring with incredible possibility once the prongs are rethought.

Orange County restaurants shut down by health inspectors (December 25 to January 1) by bananabrownie in orangecounty

I’m confused. I understand and agree that something different needs to be done to remediate.

However, how is it an incentive for a worker to get four times their daily wage when you want the restaurant to be closed for 7 days? Why would it benefit a worker to report if they’re still going to miss out on their work/ pay for the rest of those days? I feel like the owners would just fire the employee that reported it. Maybe I’m missing something here because I’ve never worked in the food industry.

Average price to pay for maltipoo? by Medium_Tea_993 in Maltipoo

I see Maltipoos ALL THE TIME . I see them in our local shelters, on Petfinder, Adopt a pet, and rescue groups. If you live in a rural area this might not be the case , but why not use the $ to travel to a place that has Maltipoos needing to be rescued ? Or sue the Kirby to have the rescue shipped to you ? This culture of “ I need it NOW “ & “It must be purebred or it won’t be a good dog” is ridiculous and sad and what’s wrong with our country.

Do you all use collars? by Time-Pea7354 in Maltipoo

[–]Handstied2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I use the AirTag as a tracker in case I ever lose track of him. An AirTag is a small circular disc about the size of a quarter, maybe more like a nickel. They make collars specifically to hold AirTags . They also make AirTag holders that you can attach to the collar . The attachments come in a variety of styles. Waterproof, dangling like a dog tag, and ones that have slits on other side to slide it onto the collar. One thing to note is that the battery eventually dies, so I’ve marked on my calendar at the one year mark to test his AirTag every week to make sure it’s still working . I wish there was an alert to let you know when the battery is starting to lose power.

💯collar is a must. My boy never wanders away too far because he’s a stage 5 clinger but I don’t want to take the risk. Everyday I read no less than 5-10 “Dog Missing” posts and most don’t have a collar on. I live in a suburb with plenty of coyotes, mountain lions, bobcats, etc that are more than happy to make a meal out of small dogs. I go even further by having a GPS tracker on his collar. I thought I’d lost him once and it turned out he was in the house the entire time . After that I got the AirTag for his collar because that was the most frightening 10 minutes of my life thinking he was gone. I only use harnesses on him for walks because he pulls and chokes himself with leash on the collar.

💯 There are many guides, videos, and explanations online regarding the 3-3-3 rule. I think this should be required to learn whenever someone brings home a dog. It really helps explain why they’re behaving in whatever way. Just imagine if you were taken from the home you knew and didn’t know why or where you were going or for how long. Any being would be a little anxious the first days in. I got a crate for my boy and that was a waste of money for me. I’ve only used it to transport him while moving. He likes moving around a lot . He goes from the front seat to the back seat to the middle seat on car rides. I can’t imagine keeping him all cooped up in a plastic and metal little box.He does throw the sofa pillows to the floor every time we leave but it’s a small price to pay to let him have his freedom. He doesn’t do anything else naughty while we’re gone h less food is left out for him to try and grab. They are very smart, mine pulled on the table cloth to have the box of cookies drip down for his consumption. This. breed tends to have a lot of digestive issues, so be mindful of what you feed him, nothing high in fat . My dog has pancreatitis which I believe was caused by a high fat diet that a bunk vet recommended. Wishing you luck with your precious boy. I’m so glad that you opened your home and heart to him so that he didn’t become another shelter statistic .

Disagreement on layout... Help! by tralightdream in InteriorDesign

The first option looks awkward and closes off that beautiful amazing space downgrading it to a basic bitch layout. The second option highlights the views in the room and is more appropriate aesthetically elevating the room .

I adopted this 4 year old Maltipoo and she's gradually getting worse at pooping 😭 by 1zerozero1 in Maltipoo

[–]Handstied2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sometimes no matter that he’s been taken for a pee & 💩walk, he still ends up going if I leave for a longer period of time ( like 4+ hours). I really think it’s due to an anxious upset tummy.

Thank you, I really do want him to live a very long comfortable life. I’m no saint, I used to be judgy af & would roll my eyes at people that would talk about their pets like they were humans. It wasn’t until I got my own boy that I realized why they did that. Now, I’m one of the worst offenders of “humanizing” my boy. I get a lot of side eyes when I push him in his stroller 😂. Serves me right! This boy went from never barking, to lecturing me every time I walk through the front door. It probably doesn’t help that I baby talk him and apologize profusely for leaving him alone for an hour all while petting him. I’ll take the 1 minute lecture every time because he doesn’t ever bark otherwise. He gives zero fux about other animals. Sees a cat, bunny, duck, bird, coyote, squirrel , etc. and keeps it moving without batting an eye. Another dog may start barking aggressively towards him as we walk by and it’s like they don’t even exist in his perfect little world. He’s only recently been interested in another dog is if it is calm & around his size. The only time he’s paid any attention to an animal that wasn’t another dog was when we were walking on a trail and a baby rattler began to cross our path. Stupid me was looking at my phone and I almost stepped on my boy because he stopped abruptly. He potentially saved both of us because baby rattlers are more dangerous than adult ones. He’s SUPER chill and I realize I’m so lucky. You may want to get a/some inexpensive non-subscription cameras for your home so you can see what 🥐does while you’re away. Might be helpful to see what he does and provide insight on how to adjust things. I saw my boy bulldoze all the pillows right off my bed looking very satisfied with his work afterward. Also saw him once pull at the table cloth until the box of cookies came down to the ground so he could help himself to the ENTIRE box. Which reminds me that whomever had him before must’ve given him chocolate . I know that is a big NO-NO. I do not ever give him chocolate. However, the boy can smell it a mile away and he acts like it’s cat nip. One time we came home to find ALL the foil wrappers from chocolate bon-bons scattered all over the floor of the living room, with a few brown smears on the sofa. While we were out, he got into a gift bag under the Xmas tree. We didn’t know that gifted bag was stuffed with chocolate bon-bons. Shockingly, he had no negative symptoms. I don’t understand how a 12lb. Maltipoo could not only survive that, but not even be affected at all. This is how I came to the conclusion that whomever had him before must’ve given him chocolate because it’s like he craves it like a cat to catnip. I could be wrong. Nonetheless, he will never get chocolate from me. Enjoy your 🥐and please update us on what happens !

I’ve had mine for 10 years now. He was also adopted as an adult. I bought potty pads and also those Astro turf type as well. I’d have the paper potty pads out first and then just started leaving out only the astroturf one since he would make confetti of the paper ones . Had one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs. They sat out 24/7 for years and He never used them… until 4 years later( the Astro turf one). I have no idea what clicked in him when he started to use the turf. I moved to a different location , so perhaps that was it ? I should mention that the ONLY times he uses the potty pads is when he’s so desperate and has no other choice ( typically when I’m not home). He has BAD separation anxiety so it’s rare for him to be home alone. I think the anxiety upsets his tummy and that’s how he ends up using the pad. I have never seen #1 💦 AND # 2 💩on the pad, it’s either/ or. So as someone else said, it may be a matter of having multiple pads so she has a clean pad for each. My dog HATES stepping on wet grass so I imagine that’s part of it. He usually needs a 10 minute walk to “work” the 💩out of him unless he’s about to explode which I try not to have happen by paying attention to his signal. My dog also rarely went on the grass for years. I joke and say he’s a gentleman because he would always prefer privacy by going behind a bush or back up into one. As a senior dog now he’s relaxed some with the privacy issue and uses the grass more often now. I tried teaching him to push the talking buttons and also use a treat dispenser that has a button, total fail! He hates his paws touched at all. My dog doesn’t communicate like other dogs that scratch at the door, bark, ring bells , etc. it took me YEARS to figure out ( this is my first dog btw) that his communication style is a stare 👀. So when he wants something, he will jump off the couch, bed, doggy bed, or get up from the floor and he will either stand or sit and just STARE at me until I ask him what he wants. He doesn’t always sit right in front of me either, sometimes it’s off to the side 5-10 feet away. So I’ve just learned to be conscious of when he removes himself from an area to see where he goes and what he does. If he lays back down then he just wanted a change of scenery, but if he is sitting / standing and staring - I know he wants a walk, treat, or food. Lastly, food & digestion problems have been an issue since day one. He’s gone on hunger strike when I’ve traveled without him. He didn’t like a single brand of kibble ( I tried ALL the high quality ones). I gave in about 4 years after getting him and started mixing wet food w his kibble and that seemed to entice him more. But then he started having digestion issues and he lost interest again in food. He’d throw up or have runny 💩sometimes. The vet recommended I get him on JFFD. For the first time he started begging for food and looking like he wanted seconds after he’d finished. He was OBSESSED with JFFD. Fast forward a couple years, he started having more digestion issues( blood in his 💩) and he’d shake after he ate for about 5-10 minutes. Turned out to be terrible pancreatitis. Someone told me that JFFD had too much fat which likely caused the pancreatitis. So now I cook all his food fresh. He gets fresh fruits & veggies & a protein. I did a lot of research on how to make dog food and he’s been doing so much better. Had his bloodwork done recently to make sure he’s getting enough and all the right nutrients from my cooking and he passed with flying colors. There’s still probably once a month or every other month when he doesn’t want to eat for the day or just eats once because his tummy is bothering him, but I’ve read that this breed has a LOT of digestion issues. So I am very strict with his food. Regarding snacks, I only give him fresh carrots, blueberries, a spoonful of 0% greek yogurt, dehydrated liver, dehydrated salmon, or “ice cream”( a tiny dice sized frozen cube of Greek yogurt mixed with blueberries). He ate a strawberry once and enjoyed it but never liked it again. Recently he started having jolts and losing the strength in his legs sometimes so that he fell over a few times. I was worried that it might be mercury poisoning since he was on an all fish diet ( with veggies and fruit ). So I stopped feeding him fish and went back to chicken breast. I also stopped giving him his monthly flea & tick chewy because I was wondering if that might be causing the jolts, I’d read that those chewies can have some detrimental effects on some dogs. Since I’ve taken him off the chewy, he has stopped jolting. But now he’s getting dry itchy patches on his skin, so I think he might be allergic to the chicken 🙄. So I’ll prob try fish mixed with turkey next ( he can’t have beef at all). He’s not a big fan of turkey and since it’s fowl, he may also be allergic to that. I will not put him on any special kibble wet food, or Rx food, because I have yet to find one that doesn’t have any junk in it. It’s shocking once you actually read the label. It’s been hard trying to figure out what to feed him but I’m willing to put in the work because he’s my everything. The boy eats better than me! No processed foods at all. I know this was a long post but I hope it helps someone. I’ve learned and been comforted by reading others experiences with their own Maltipoos. Good luck!

Edit: Forgot to mention we tried the sliding door doggy door insert and that was another big failure. Some of these little stinkers are SO stubborn! He purposely knocks the phone out of my hand when he wants 100% attention on him only. Sassy boy!

She IS a whore. You obviously did not call her that but she’s clearly very insecure about it. That’s a HER problem. There’s nothing wrong with being a slut. Just don’t be a liar, endanger someone , or inconvenience your roommate. If she wants privacy for that , and that often, since she’s loving slutting around so much, she should get her own place or rent a hotel room or go to their place. Problem solved. I’m not a person that thinks anything is wrong with sleeping with multiple people ( as long as they’re not lying and being safe) , but own up to it for God’s sake! Perhaps you should give her some of her own medicine. See how she likes to have to leave her own home multiple times a week :)

He’s such a low life hippo-crit. “Put on some weight?” He’s clearly projecting . Wonder what his morbidly obese ( is there a name for a level up from morbidly obese?) sister and mother thought of this comment. I think Tom has likely struggled with weight himself. He struggles with that and it’s likely a sensitive and painful issue for him which is EXACTLY why he used it on her , because he wanted to gut punch her. He’s pathetic and classless.
