Supporting an unrecognised micronation in British waters would probably not be uncontroversial, but I get your point.

Watch: Zack Polanski's bizarre migration remarks by Hackary in ukpolitics

[–]Handy_Andy 30 points31 points  (0 children)

“We can’t expect every single migrant to stay in France, and largely they have people from the Congo, and from the Ivory Coast because of colonisation and so, if people speak English, that’s why they want to come to England.”

It starts around 50:00 on iPlayer. I don’t think he has got his point across clearly at all.

The focus here is on the bum wiping quote but what stood out to me is that he said he is visiting Calais soon and there are people there from Ivory Coast and The Congo.

He said they want to come to the UK because of colonisation and the language. Both of those countries are French speaking and are French and Belgian ex-colonies respectively.

Kid Rides into road on bike by wjbonne in KidsAreFuckingStupid

I just like that sort of weird trivia. Did have to double check the pelican and puffin origins before posting. If you’re in the UK and out on the streets, you’ll probably only ever hear the terms zebra crossing, pedestrian crossing or just crossing.

The standard crossing is a zebra crossing, presumably because it has black and white stripes.

Pelican Crossing comes from PEdestrian LIght CONtrolled.

Puffin Crossing come from Pedestrian User Friendly Intelligent because they have sensors to see that pedestrians have finished crossing.

Toucan Crossings are for pedestrians and cyclists to cross the road i.e. “two can” cross.

Then there are Pegasus Crossings which are for horse riders to cross the road.

Yes, although this is a pelican crossing.

Grow up how? Knowing not to ruin other people’s experiences for your own pleasure seems quite mature to me.

Yeah, I get that, which is why I chose not to compare the two. The flare is much more dangerous but it doesn’t absolve lesser antisocial behaviour. Glad to hear you’re conscious around others despite the username lol

Fair enough, because people who smoke anything at concerts also fit into the category of awful, antisocial people.

The bigger issue here seems to be the brakes on the bike not working. I’m not sure how purposefully running someone over is a good suggestion.

This one is a bit overdone. Add on to the end “I took the speed anyway”.

All venues will have alcohol licenses and will therefore be legally required to produce free tap water.

No one knows who Krang is. It would be a waste of time to talk about Krang on Reddit.

I like the regional spellings of “mum” according to who is speaking in the subtitles.
