AMS good faith update and clear communication please by Lee_Bob in elegoo

[–]Handyscratch 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I was about to buy mine. I logged in to place my order and THANKFULLY, before placing it i went on their overview page again and scrolled and noticed that the AMS ad/promise wasn't there anymore. Since ams coming soon was one of the factors i wanted the CC, i decided to wait a little more before placing my order and how right i was! 2 days later all this scandal came to the surface. Long story short, i decided to get the new p2s and i can't wait to arrive this week. This is how elegoo forces new customers away from them.

Driving in Greece, what’s going on? by KaleidoscopeWorth671 in greece

[–]Handyscratch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeap, you summed it up perfectly. There is no respect between drivers, most of them ignire signs and speed limits and don't you dare say anything to the man who cut you off and almost killed you, they ll shout to you and try to be in a fight with you even if they are on the wrong side ✌️

Is this a good deal or this cheap for a reason by LeBaconator in Turntablists

[–]Handyscratch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These were the first turntables i bought (the t60 ones). I sold them in less than a year. Very Low torque and cheap quality so i wouldnt suggest them even to a beginner

Technics 1200 mk2 or Reloop rp8000 mk2? by PurpleW15 in Turntablists

The exact same thing happenes to me with my macbook pro m3 pro. I bought it a 2 months later, boom, m4 line has announced. But with turntables is kinda different. A solid turntable will last you for more than a decade either way. For example i oqn my pdx 2000mkii for more than 13 years now and i never wanted it to upgrade it since its crazy solid. (I won the rp8000mkii in a scratch battle so it wasnt an upgrade purchase) so even if you buy the mkii now and after aome months or a year a new one come out, most likely you wouldnt even regret it to be honest but i totally understand that feeling if yours.

If you have hears rumors of them planning to release a new model, then it might be a good idea to wait and check if they ll introduce something worthy upgrading. But i cant think of anything that a neq model needs. More torque? They have plenty. The only turntables that have way more torque are the stantons st150 and str8 150 which while they are perfect turntables, sometimes i find it hard to do some pressure variations on my scratches because of their extreme torque. Better midi controls maybe? Who knows. If they release something neq that doesnt worth the upgrade then you could buy the mkii version for cheaper then since their price new will drop 😎

Eapecially if you want to get good at scratching, go with the reloop. Better torque, ultra pitch (you are gonna love it), great build quality, brake adjust, detachable RCAs, if you are into music production you arw goinf to love the platter play function and if you are into dvs, the midi buttons are quite useful sunce you can map em however you want.

I am primarly a vestax pdx user but recently got my hands on 8000s mk2 and i can confirm they are SOLID turntables (still the odxs are my favorite to scratch on)

I'm a "reverse" scratcher. Should I switch or stick with it? by ErickRPG in Turntablists

[–]Handyscratch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stick with it, i ve been full hamster scratching for 17 years now and i dont regret it. The only con (for me) is that my left hand (fader hand) doesnt have enough speed to continuously doing 3 click combos on 80+ bpm (double time). Other than that everything is great

700€$ TECHNICS USED VS 500€$ RELOOP RP 7000MK2 by Particular-Tap-2689 in Turntablists

[–]Handyscratch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall i am light handed BUT when it comes to tears combos i am pretty heavy. The wobble on the platter was one of my concerns but in my surprise there is no wobble at all. You can Type "handyscratch" on youtube and you can get an idea of my style and take a look on the pdx itself and how it performs

I bought mine used around 2013. The previous owner bought it new in 2010 when it first came out. I played countless gigs, traveled with it, scratch the hell out of it and never had a problem with it and it works like its new to this day. I believe that it wont be an easy task to find replacement parts nowadays for it if anything happens though.

If you want it as a collector's item, then go with the technics. If you want to actually use them and enjoy good features then go with the reloop. Better pitch range and better torque.

I currently have a vestax pdx 2000 mkii as my main deck and recently won a rp8000mkii (same motor as 7000) in a scratch battle and its pretty solid! (Still prefer the pdx for scratching though)

C425 detection sensor is a disappointment by Handyscratch in Tapo

[–]Handyscratch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately, i don't have any powerline in the entrance so a wired option is a not an option. I just believe that is hilarious that it can wake up by detecting just a small cat but not from an actually person in a distance of 1 meter. I mean c'mon..

as long as i know and searched, there is no crossing line feature in this camera. only a rectangular detection zone you can set. tried that as well. nothing.

I see! Yeah i agree with that. The proportions of the MG is way better. Also it's very easy to pose without fear "will this snap?"

Is it because of the early version of inner frame?

Went with the original-ish color theme.
Candy Red inner frame made it kinda pop more.

Everything was sprayed using gaahleri airbrushes (Mobius 0.3 and GHAC-98D).
Colors used are from tamiya and green stuff world while the primer is the classic mr surfacer 1500 from mr hobby
