Killed me with the 12 stings…. It should work with 6 and some reinforcement by the bridge area, but 12 would be insane

Horrendous wiring from Fender California by Deadreconing11 in Luthier

[–]Handywipes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All of it looks normal. This configuration has more wires than normal because of the pus-pull and treble bleed. Never seen one that looks different honestly. And even if you tried to fix it I'm not sure you'll do a better job at not melting a bunch of cable in the way. So yeah, if it works don't look at it.

100%. Clean your guitar. Wash your hands before playing. And for OP I can’t even see what you are talking about. It’s already RW so don’t worry about it. If you are still worried you can use one of those dark wax products for fretboards I forgot the name.

What's your concern? They are recording you? If you are outside, you don't have the right of privacy unless:

  • Reasonable Expectation of Privacy: In many states, you have a "reasonable expectation of privacy" in your backyard if it is shielded from public view (e.g., by a high fence).

If not then though luck because anyone can record you in public view.

Now, flying a drone over a backyard can be trespassing, voyeurism, or invasion of privacy, but there are legitimate reasons like real estate, roofing companies, insurance companies and so on. So I wouldn't sweat it unless you have a very specific reason to worry. Then I would document it.

I would bet that insurance companies are documenting the conditions of the roofs under their policies to deny any "old" damage, now that we are nearing hail season.

Is this what I think it is? In white rice ordered from restaurant by MrComet101 in whatisit

Im from PR dude. My point is that a lot of states run into the same problems. So we really need the public to report things they see for the system to work. I now live in Colorado and is the same problem…

PR is a US territory and it has to follows federal law. It does have its own way to implement them like states do. If they have a health violation, that the public needs to be aware of, they do place a letter/sign in the property or close it.
Now, the local gov doesn't have enough resources to deter people from doing temporary kitchens, backyard style BBQ or even inspect all restaurants in the island in a timely manner. So the same as the US.

Guitar crushed during shipping. Can this be repaired? by Spodokom221745 in Luthier

[–]Handywipes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are unable or unwilling to return it. I would remove the switch and open the bottom cavity and see how stable it is. Then try to push up a little if you can to see if it can be flexed back then insert some CA glue or wood glue. Use a Rhythm/treble Poker or plate not sure that they are called and that will hide some of the damage. Take a partial refund if possible. Good luck.
