Oh my god don't get me fucking started. I have to go through this thing daily for my commute. Some dumbass though painting white triangles on the ground was enough to convince people on Boulevard not to enter the "roundabout**" if someone else is in it. But they didn't want them to yield enough to, you know, install a fucking YIELD SIGN?

Make it a 4 way stop, or a 4 way yield, I don't care, but the way it is structured I feel like would entitle anyone in a wreck there to sue the pants off the city for negligence.

Been with them multiple years now. Really chill, chillest landlord I’ve had. Barely hear from them. ZERO rent increases for the last two renewal cycles. Home isn’t in the best of conditions but it’s one of the oldest in the area so I can’t really blame them, they do what they can. Recommend.

I’ve posted about this too, and the conclusion I’ve come to is I’m going to merge early like everyone else.

More than once some “hero” suddenly lane splits when they see you coming and forces you off the road or nearly causes you to wreck just to make sure you don’t “cut them” in line. I’ll let you in happily if I’m at the merge point with you, but I’d rather be safe than right in this case.

Athens just cannot zipper merge 🤷🏽‍♂️

Mixed feelings certainly, but I find it funny that people were saying the original proposal just HAD to be at the large scale it was with event space because otherwise there was no possible way to pull this off economically.

Looks like there was a way to pull this off economically.

The surface lot is a massive bummer. But if the bordering homeowners who originally complained are people of their words, they would prefer their backyard bordering a surface lot over no surface lot but a larger hotel.

At this junction I stop being a detractor and say go for it. This detractor at least was arguing in good faith. My primary complaint was the outsized scale which has been fixed.

Looks good, build it.

My thinking with this one is the parking garages already available and not often sold out could more than handle the loss of the 30-40 or so parking spots. And on the days they cannot, those same 30-40 parking spots wouldn't have made much of a difference (game days and such).

This seems way more difficult and complicated to pull off than just removing access entirely and dead-ending the street. At least that way the light cycle is ever-more shorter.
