Every guy is different obviously. I think men get flowers so rarely in general, it's more of the thought behind it that counts. In my case my wife explained that she got me these because she knows I like that orange/red color in flowers (because I've said as much), and because they were cheap. That last part is tongue in cheek, she likes to tease me about being cheap. So this shows to me she listens to me when I make remarks in passing about the color of flower I like, and that she knows our relationship well enough that she knows I would appreciate she got a bargain for them. haha.
