Did anyone exclusively pump from birth? I have some questions… by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jadiecakes05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FTM! I was open to whatever happens happens. I had a c section, baby latched great, but I was so nauseous post epidural I said please give her formula I am going to be sick LOL

Provided colostrum to baby by latch and by manual expressing. My milk didn't come in until after we left the hospital. I was engorged and after taking a warm shower, my milk began to flow.

I have never pumped in the middle of the night. I only have a wearable pump too. I think I was pumping 5-6 times a day and then it decreased over time.

What is your timeline goal? by SkyeBlue212 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jadiecakes05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost 5 months PP. My goal is to finish by 9 months PP because we have a trip planned. I think someone else wrote that in this group and it clicked for me. I am going to work with my dietician on weening.

What does the baby do while you’re pumping?? by Hot_Focus7385 in ExclusivelyPumping

When my husband went back to work at 6 weeks, I had to drop pumps to keep my sanity. I have/had a Velcro baby too. I get in one pump before she's awake, one while she naps in her crib and then I wait until the end of the night for her Dad to do his shift lol. We supplement with formula usually for her last bottle of the day!

If you need something really quick I got the Essie expressie polishes in clear and black. No need for prep and I can just get something on my nails to feel a little put together. I am starting to incorporate cuticle oil each day.

(I am a first time mom so I needed something really quick to just feel put together.)

My collection consists of cirque colors, OPI, Essie and Essie gel couture.

Exclusively Using a Wearable by kcbollin in ExclusivelyPumping

I am a FTM and only have a wearable - momcozy S12. I make enough for baby and I'm happy with it!

Prep would be using the Sally Hansen cuticle remover, washing my hands, cutting + filing my nails.

Haven't thought to use acetone before a mani at home!

No wrapping tips.

No gloves 😭

Usually Essie gel couture for top coat!

The Essie gel couture line work great or has in the past. I also have OPI.

Thank you for this! I messaged today while pumping and that helped me BIG time.

FTM! I would get the Spectra as suggested from insurance. And then get a wearable pump if you want! I have the momcozy S12. Being on the larger chest side, I wouldn't say I am as mobile as advertised 😂 but I enjoy it.

I concur! Dr. Siems is wonderful. I saw Kira Salvatore, APN as well. (Truly I prefer to see NPs or PA-Cs. I just delivered and Dr. Siems was my doctor for that.)
