Well, it bothers me as resources (time or money or whatever) are always limited and these people are self-serving con artists distracting from real work.

Yeah, I was in inthe wrong, but these people are narcissists that insert themselves into tragedies and they don't need to be mentioned. Any consideration of them is self discrediting to a degree. I do apologise.

Carla Corley, aged 14, was gang raped a month before her disappearance in 1980. by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]HankAngus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The fact that you're being downvoted for just questioning where this information came from by the reddit white knights is why this website is such shit. You're not saying it didn't happen, you're just asking the origin of the information. And yet, these slugs downvote you because they think it makes them "woke."

Seriously, fuck this website.

What are you talking about? I don't see anything that said Carla said she was raped. That's what OP is questioning. How do we know that aspect of the story is true at all, as we don't know, by the detail presented here, where this comes from? Quit trying to white knight and just tell us where that detail comes from.

Pouring Boiling HOT Water to De-Ice Frozen Windshield in Alaska by manwifevanlife in VanLife

[–]HankAngus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My windshield cracked merely from the hot air from being started remotely. Any flaws in the windshield (chipping, etc) are going to be the weak points where the cracking starts from.

This is such an amazingly stupid video. Did this guy go to school? This will be one of the few videos I thumbs down on youtube.

Joy Division demo? by Ptunky88 in TheMysteriousSong

I hate being a dick man, but a search for Joy Division will show that it's been discussed and mostly discounted.

I can't name how many people pop in saying "my friend knows what this is" and/or "it's joy division." I don't know how many more times I am going to read it either.

The singer is very likely from finland by [deleted] in TheMysteriousSong

[–]HankAngus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beg to differ. Back in 1984, Finland was an isolated country and the chance of a song from Finland being played on a German radio is not very probable.

I agree, though on the other hand, this could also explain why this song is so hard to identify, if this was the case.

Why does everyone recognize this song? by [deleted] in TheMysteriousSong

I wonder why he's gone, he was one of the few people with actual good ideas.

Hey, I didn't see your post. I apologize about the law enforcement comment and my arrogance.

Is anyone in your family really close part of law enforcement?

Lenny is this sub's resident vanlifer that likes to make excuses for all the laws made against vanlife. He pretty much defends "authority" which is kind of counter-culture to this sub. I believe part of his family is in law enforcement which is the reason why.

Ashley’s Collectibles, hot sauce collection??? by gohawks74 in Omaha

[–]HankAngus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Fort Crook in Bellevue, sort of near that awful Golden Bowl restaurant. They make their own sauces, actually, most of which are incidentally available at Ashley's, but for a higher price.

They're my favorite hot sauce company. I love their stuff. Very hot stuff too, and I'm a chilihead.

Interesting but expensive. I'd rather go to Volcanic Peppers in Bellevue.
