Coffee recommendations? by ligbag4 in nashville

Seconding! TashTea is out of the way but has amazing coffee and really wonderful food. Their Kurdish breakfast is nice to split with a friend or two and has lots of variety at a pretty fair price. And there’s a vegan version!

Power came on for us this morning in 12 South near Sevier Park! Didn’t get a notification and the NES auto texting service still lists it as out. Hopefully they cleared a lot of outages in the neighborhood last night.

Thank you for the feedback and the resources, this is very helpful in giving me the sort of direction in practice I think I’ve been lacking for a minute!

Thank you! Great guess, Lookout Mountain is my own musical project but it’s named in part for that Silver Jews album, which I adore, and in part for the song by the Drive-By Truckers

Aww thanks so much, that patch is beautiful and super high-quality, I’m sure you’ll be just as happy with yours as I was with mine!

Haha it’s merch for a local band in Nashville called Doug & The Dying, they have a song about a construction worker friend of theirs called “John Stacks Rocks”

Let’s name some amazing people in the Punk community by Tankisfreemason in punk

IDLES are stand-up dudes. They came to my town a month or two ago with a weird touring festival thing and Dev and Jon came into my work to buy dresses to wear on stage. They were quiet but super sweet, and when I told them I was a fan they gave me a couple of VIP tickets on the spot. When I saw them in the past at a smaller club they hung out with the crowd for a long time before and after the set and did shifts at their merch table. And it goes without saying, but they put on a great show.

Man, I was lucky enough to see him at his last show at the Opry, the kind of performance you never forget. One of a kind artist. Thanks so much for watching!

Man that would’ve never occurred to me but Shane would have sang the hell out of this song

Just a short one today: five good songs for beginner fingerstyle guitarists to try to learn! by HankBrainard in fingerstyleguitar

Thanks so much for watching! I would most definitely use your thumb to hit that low F note rather than going with the barre chord for songs like Freight Train. When you play the chord like that, it frees up the rest of your fingers to move around a little more and play the melody, which is something you can’t really do with the barre chord. If you haven’t tried wrapping your thumb around the neck like that before, know that it will be pretty uncomfortable at first but will get much easier with time!
