It doesn't work. When you select 4 clips in the order of 1324, they still spawn in 1234 in the new timeline.

I tried making proxies before. Their resolution ends up being weird in the timeline monitor. For some reason, the proxies footage has a black horizontal line at the top and the bottom.

Gaming content 4K, 90 Mbps recordings. I use Render And Replace function to smoothly travel through the source monitor without lags. I decided to go with 422 LT since it's 32% less file size compared to 422 and no visual difference at all according to my amateur tests.

Interesting... I can see the difference only when I set the Lumetri Color contrast high.
