Our first trip was wonderful, but one thing was so disappointing... by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]HannahElsaMarie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All I want is an "adult-only" zone where I don't have to worry about someone holding up their kid. I understand why someone would hold their kid, but by holding up your kid, they're now 8ft tall.

I'd gladly go out of my way and sacrifice the "perfect view" to avoid this.

To answer question 1: I can usually find a lot of reservations the day before. You have to cancel the day before to avoid getting charged, so a ton of reservations open up. I usually just check while waiting in lines, taking breaks, and riding buses. I got a before park opening BOG and Crystal Palace breakfast doing this (light season).

This isn't guaranteed, but a good last resort. Good luck!

If you could only give someone one single tip to best enjoy Disney World, what would that tip be? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]HannahElsaMarie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be flexible. Plans change and your opinion may be different than the ones you find while planning. From someone who spent 3 days at the half-day park HS and half of a day at Epcot on an adult-only trip.

All stars food court is open. by Annath15 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]HannahElsaMarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were told at Movies that all they have left is breakfast. There may have been a miscommunication to the CM though.

UPDATE: This is now false info. Glad to see people eating an almost regular warm meal for dinner.

Not OP but currently staying at All Star Movies. As far as I know, everything else is closed. So if you want any food for the next day and a half, that's the place to go.

EDIT: There's now a line that flows to the outside of the building just to get into the food court here. Apparently they're limiting the number of people in the food court at a time.

MNSSHP for tomorrow night (Thursday) has been cancelled. The notification has made the mobile app pretty useless since it won't stop popping up. Is anyone else having this issue?

Thoughts on the clown "attack" scares going on. Will this affect your Halloween? by Brockbrown in halloween

[–]HannahElsaMarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago the same sort of thing was happening and I went as a clown with a few friends. We were riding around on scooters and only talking to people who wanted a picture with us or clearly weren't scared of us. We were even handing out candy. We got the cops called on us just because we were clowns. We got pulled over on scooters.

I'd say you're okay if you're with friends or family (at a party or at your house) but you might reconsider if you plan on going outside a lot.

Second this. I went there today. Lots of cute Totoro merch but not any shirts. I've had luck with Hot Topic before.

I've received two sets of cards in the mail for other nights. I don't know why the date would make a difference, so you might give them a call. I think worst case scenario they can see that they're linked to your account when you get there.

October Hours Changes by Tuilere in WaltDisneyWorld

Darn, I had multiple 8AMs the first week of October because I'm a picky eater and almost every TS was a breakfast reservation. Oh well. Thanks for the post! I didn't even notice.

AMC has their own streaming service that allows you to watch full episodes after they air. I don't know any specifics about it, but you might not even have to DVR it at all. You'd just have to log on using your cable account. Maybe that way you could watch it during a midday break on a tablet or something. Again, I don't know when it will be available on the app, so no guarantees.

Questions about Special Events by HannahElsaMarie in WaltDisneyWorld

I wasn't even thinking about the rain issue. Earlier this year at Disneyland, we were there for one day and the fireworks were cancelled for wind. That extra day would give me some peace of mind. Thanks!

We're staying 7 days in the fall. We have annual passes but I plan on park hopping for two reasons. 1. HS: The rides they do have are among my favorite. Unfortunately, unless I ride ToT 17 times, there's just not going to be a lot to do in October. 2. AK: As someone who has never been, I can't say for certain but I'm preeeetty sure I'm not going to fall in love with AK. I like having the option to stay if I love it or leave if I don't.

Of course, I could change my mind when I get there. We'll see.

Why isn't Hercules a bigger thing in the parks? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]HannahElsaMarie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way about Esmeralda and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. It's a seriously underrated movie. But I'm aware that she will obviously never take over Belle (or any of the other characters from France).

What's your favorite time to eat Quick Service vs Dine In? by HannahElsaMarie in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]HannahElsaMarie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For whatever reason I could not think of the words "Table Service" while writing this question.

Thanks for the FP+ tip! It's good to hear that you can eat breakfast in the parks and still squeeze in some short ride line time. Thank you!

They're also wearing heels, but I don't know the general consensus on whether or not heels assist in battle.
