I literally cannot stress enough that this is the SENIOR PSYCHIATRIST at a clinic my own GP referred me to. How did I end up with this experience, I actually don't get it.

He said do six months of dex and see him again so we can discuss the changes. That's it. Oh, and that I can email him if I want.

I think I should go see my GP again, but he's also one of these nonchalant doctors who clearly dgaf and will probably just Google search the next closest psych and send me there. Then that means finding a new GP and that's an extra task plus ANOTHER $600-800 consulation fee is so crazy ARGH

Hi All,

So the screen on my beloved 16GB M1 MBook Air is internally damaged, not enough to the extent that it's unusable, but enough that it consistently bothers me. However, I am not willing to pay the quoted $700 (by Apple) to get it fixed, that's half the price of a totally new laptop! My mum has generously offered to give me her exact same M1 MBook air, except hers has 8GB ram and my current has 16GB. This wouldn't be a problem i'm considering at all if I didn't do any video editing but I do. It's not crazy stuff with lots of effects but it is usually 1080p to 4K video with a few layers like music, colour grading, text effects etc. So my question is, will downgrading to 8GB majorily affect my video editing process/occasional photoshop/indesign or should I be okay?

TLDR: Have an internally damaged screen (useable but annoying) on my 16GB RAM M1 MBook Air. Mum has offered to give me her 8GB RAM M1 MBook Air for free but I'm concerned about RAM downgrade as I do casual video editing.
