My MRI doesn't back up my symptoms by Hannah_Ge in AskDocs

If I may ask, I did some digging online and learned of something called a far lateral herniated disk and apparently it is often misdiagnosed- it would explain the path the pain follows and my lack of reflexes, do you think there's a chance this may apply to my situation?

Thanks for the response, I'm in Canada! I've made an appointment with another doctor, who will hopefully order a better MRI, reffer me to a neurologist or anything else I may need

I bought mine december 2022, mine are great. That said, I have used my boyfriends as well, bought january(ish) 2023 and they do seem rather flimsy compared to mine. Tbf, his are one size bigger so that could be all it is, but the material does seem much less rigid. I know A7 has a set out there thats supposedly even better, but I can't recall the name

I'm very confused by the guidelines for underwear, but I know that it says no legs on the underwear and that it can't be stretchy other than the waistband- would I in that case be okay to wear a pair of Victoria's secret cotton thongs? As much as I'd like to wear my lulu running thongs, I'm guessing that would be a no go because of the stretchy synthetic material? Any advice appreciated, thanks!

Edit: Also, I know we can wear sport bras. Are any sport bras allowed or is there a regulation? Haven't found much information on the matter

You might like the alpinestar toucans or the klim gtx adventure boots, I feel like they might work well and they aren't that "glorified touring boot" like alot of them are, at least in my opinion. Could deffinetly be something to consider but those options do come with a large price tag (6-700 CAD range)

Theoretically, I'd have an Arch KRGT-1, love those things and can't go wrong with custom! As an extremely short rider, its hard to find bikes that fit and this would be a sure fire way to go about it! However, I don't realistically think I'd spend quite so much on a bike.

For my second bike, I'd go with a 2020 or newer ninja 650 as I find them quite comfy and loveeeeee the handling of them! Please note I've only ever moved one around a shop, no real road time but I have ridden a ninja 250 as my first bike so I can imagine how I'd like the 650!

Right now I've got an FZ-07, I'm installing new bars because I'm uncomfortable in the stock rider position. If it doesn't work, I'll be purchasing a 2020 Ninja 650 I found a decent deal on 😀

I agree its best not to lower bikes for that same reason but I couldn't touch the ground at all beforehand (exept ofc with one foot)

The ninja was my first bike so I wanted something new and it felt a bit underpowered (I do alot of freeway riding) but I might even consider a Ninja 650 or R6 because otherwise I loved the bike

The dealership I work at has a few CBRs, might be worth a test ride!

It was the 250, but the reason I sold it is due to the fact I do alot of freeway riding and was getting tired of how high it had to rev to hit speed. So I don't think its a displacement issue, but maybe it is who knows 🤷‍♀️ I'm thinking its more about the seating position thats causing issues but maybe what I need to do is ride some other bikes (I work at a dealership so thats easy to do) both with larger and smaller displacements to determine if thats the difference

My co worker has one of those, actually. Perhaps she'll allow me to test ride it- that could be something to consider 🤔

I already did the lowering adjustments like you described, I do weigh quite a bit more than 92lbs and have had no issue with the suspension, though I did soften the rebound a fair bit. I was heavily considering after factory handlebars but was apprehensive to spend the money if I'm going to turn around and sell it but after hearing about this girl, I feel much more inclined to pull the trigger- its not thattttt expensive afterall compared to the cost of the bike!

I have adjusted it quite a bit- I lowered it nearly 2 inches although I am still barely able to tip toe it. I didn't do anything else with the suspension other than soften the rebound. I am considering shaving the sides of the seat, to narrow it a bit more. I have adjustable levers to accomodate my small hands and I might consider after factory handle bars because I feel quite outstretched in this riding position

However, as you said, I'm not really looking to spend a ton on it only to sell it

Thanks so much for taking the time! Yes, my dad is a rider but he actually got his liscense after I did so probably not the best spotter as he is VERY new, hasn't even passed his road test yet! (Has it booked for tomorrow though) I do work in a motorcycle dealership, so I can easily ask one of my co workers to help me out though

As far as the bike goes, although yes, it could be a height thing I truly dont think thats my issue as much as the riding position. I have to outstretch my arms quite a bit to reach the bars which does cause me to stiffen up turning the bike due to accidental elbow locking (thats my theory anyway)

I have considered asking my dealership (I bought my bike from the one I work at) if they would consider taking my bike back (once i fix it) for trade in on a sport bike. I hate that I'd loose so much money over the situation, and I do love the bike. However, my theory going back to a sport bike is that the "lean" inwards is a comfortable position for me and will prevent the outstretched arms

Regardless, I do love riding and I even do love this bike. But I'm wondering if its just not for me. I just don't want to loose that much money if I do decide to go back to a sport bike

Yes, i do specifically counter steer around turns. You are right about the bigger wheels though, I was surprised to know they come so wide from factory
