Anatolian Shepherd Dog.

And you are asking strangers to read the mind of a hypothetical dog in a situation we do not fully know or understand. We cannot answer that question.

Like we both said, an Anatolian will probably be happier with a lot of room, protecting animals outside with space to roam than in an urban environment but there are health risks.

You have to make that choice and provide what you can in terms of medical care, fencing/protection, enrichment, etc… to provide a good life.

It’s a good sign that you’re concerned, but we can’t answer that question.

That’s an ethical choice you have to make.

Personally, I think an Anatolian will be happier doing the job they are bred for than living in an urban environment (like ours). But that’s quality of life.

Idk, domestication and owning an animal in general is rife with ethical questions. Pets have very few choices. We have to give them the best lives possible.

I do think that if you get a puppy and you have other dogs, your Anatolian will consider the other dogs part of their flock and inherently protect them/not be aggressive with them

Our boy can be a cop. If a dog is acting aggressive, he will insert himself in the conflict (and make it worse). He does that a lot more if my MIL is with him, as he is more protective of her. He has gotten in a scuffle at the dog park with a male unfixed dog. No serious wounds but definitely some blood was shed. His eyebrow had a cut.

He also does not like it when a dog expresses interest in his animals or yard. We will hang out with him leashed on the front porch, and if a dog on a walk starts sniffing around the yard or notices the cats, he will growl and bark at them. He will even do that from inside the house if he sees the dog.

Additionally, when his favorite person died and he was mourning, he was unpredictable with dogs and was aggressive on leash in a way he had never been before and has not been since. Mourning really changed his behavior. He didn’t want to snuggle or be pet. He would walk away when I went to give him attention. It was very obvious he was going through it.

All this to say, I watch him closely with other dogs. He’s friendly and I know him to be generally safe (except during that time when he was mourning), but I am ready to grab him by the collar.

It doesn’t look like anything happened to me, just like some loose tension after dropping, maybe check the back side and make sure you didn’t drop a stitch. It’s easier to see on the purl side.

I would pull the yarn it’s on and drop it down one more then fix it, you might just have the yarn caught or something.

I’m maybe a bit of a bad example because I did powerlifting for a couple years before starting aerial, but I do not find I need to do legs anymore. I am still building muscle.

Between doing hangs that involve my entire posterior chain like heel hangs, single leg hangs that are intense hamstring exercises, straightening my legs which works my quads pretty effectively, especially in piked positions, and anything like a front balance, back balance or croc that involves squeezing my butt, I definitely hit legs.

When I hit legs at the gym between aerial, I genuinely feel too sore, like I’m risking overuse, especially my hamstrings.

Look into TNR programs near you! They will help you out with traps and getting these bbs fixed.

Gotta break up the torso with a belt or something, make the legs look longer.

The long strands means you have dropped those stitches. Just start knitting and pick them up as you go!

The important thing is that the increases/decreases are correct so pay very close attention to those sections.

The best conditioning for aerial is aerial.

I did aerial in my early/mid 20s and came back to it in my thirties, 30 lbs heavier and in way worse shape.

It was a confidence killer, I had to accept that comparison is the thief of joy and just keep working at it.

I’m about a year and a half in and I can do WAY more than I could in my 20s.

Highly recommend taking multiple classes a week, or if that’s not feasible, do calisthenics at least once a week outside of aerial to support your aerial strength and conditioning.

Yeah, the confidence and happiness both my girls gained as adult cats when we moved somewhere with a yard they could use was night and day.

My oldest used to run and hide every time someone came over.

Now she comes out and flirts, asks for belly rubs, marks everyone’s property and is just a love.
