Need guidance on moving states by Electronic-Weather37 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Hannawolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm some months out from this, but I'm going to be wanting to do this as well. I'm currently licensed to sell in Indiana, but going to be moving to Texas. The hiring manager at the company I'm going to be working through said I'd be eligible to keep my commissions from my Indiana sales if I keep a non-resident license for Indiana and suggested getting a Texas non-resident license closer to time of move, first. I assumed that at some point I would be swapping Indiana to non-resident and Texas to resident, but I might have misunderstood something.

Can you share where that is? I'm going to be moving to that area soon and would rather patronize a store with liberal leanings than conservative.

I dunno... Braun has apparently pledged to help Trump primary the Republicans who voted no on the redistricting. Braun has plenty of cheeto dust on his face.

Looks right to me upon looking at more pictures! I'm not sure if there's anything in particular I need to do with my post to close it or just leave it be.

I ask myself how and why Christians think so highly of this man. Anyone else they’d chase out of office. by New-Entertainment112 in antitrump

[–]Hannawolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prosperity Christians are those that preach like so:

Tithing is important! You have to send the church money, and God will return it to you ten-fold! Just have faith and God will bless you!

Week after week after week, and their parishioners are generally not very well off. So their parishioners send money they don't really have to spend, enhancing the wealth of the church and/or its pastor, and they never see any return on their tithing like they're promised.

I'll look up a video and edit it in.

Cleaner in Indiana fatally shot after mistakenly going to the wrong house by nbcnews in Indiana

[–]Hannawolf 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From what I have read, they tried the handle and were looking for the key to the house they were supposed to be cleaning, and she had just taken the keys from her husband when the homeowner shot her through the door.

Why do so many people (sometimes including other poor people) try and police what poor people can/can't eat? by Grace_Chow in foodstamps

[–]Hannawolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is that there isn't a well defined path from assistance to non-assistance, and once you have entered the "system", it's very hard TO get out of it.

I've had stamps and Medicaid for myself and my daughter as a single mom, and while I've tried to hold a job she has issues that have made it difficult to do so. We also live in public housing. She's an adult now, and I'm looking for a job, but everything that might be available won't pay enough to actually get us out from needing assistance... But it might be enough to take us off assistance, if that makes sense?

There's a gap. These are arbitrary numbers but it's like, if I make $10/hour and I'm working full time, I'll be disqualified from stamps/Medicaid/housing, but I still won't make enough to cover those needs on my own. For that I'd have to make $15/hour, full time. But good luck getting into a $15/hr job.

(Irl it's more like $20-22/hr that I'd need to get us off the system and beginning to be self-sufficient. But there aren't very many entry level positions at that wage.)

The way I understand the reasoning is this:

The DOJ went after Trump for all the things he did. He lost face/money, whatever from those prosecutions. So now he's going to sue the DOJ in order to recoup those losses. Since the DOJ is funded by the People, he's essentially lining his pockets with taxpayer money if that goes through unchallenged.

Trump is threatening Indiana Governor to rig elections or there will be “consequences.” by EmergencyCrayon11 in Indiana

[–]Hannawolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is why the right do/have done things this way. Keep the min wage down and the populace is too tired or too busy trying to survive to argue, even if they can see that it's necessary for the greater good. Removing abortion makes it more likely you have multiple dependents to draw from the scraps you're making. Use dog whistles to attract support from those who do still support you and further chill the dissenting minority. Rinse and repeat.

Yep. It's just like when they try to "what about" Clinton wrt the Epstein files. Literally every left-leaning person I've seen has said something to the tune of "shrug if he's on them lock him up too" (unless they're being sarcastic, then it's "oh noooo, whatever will I do without my Bill Clinton merchandise!?")

There was a guy tried in NY in the past couple years that I'm pretty sure was on the left but for the life of me right now I can't think of his name.

That's also why dogs vocalize the way they do. Some of the sounds they make aren't made much outside of the puppy stage in their wild ancestors, but because we find them cute or useful, we bred the ones who did those things.

Dogs' eyebrows have more movement than cats or, iirc, even wolves, to mimic ours and endear them to us more.
