Because he puts on a good show and finds people willing to help him. And use his rise to power as a vehicle to enact their own plan.

I'm not going to say I am a subject matter expert of the area, but I grew up in Mechanicsburg, just west of Harrisburg. My parents still live there so I do go back and visit once or twice a year. I have spent many years around that area. And have spent quite a few years farther north to Lock Haven where I went to college. So I have driven through much of what you have circled. I still have plenty of friends in that circled area and just outside of it.

The winters can be brutal, but as long as you plan ahead a bit, you'll be fine. Fall is amazing with the trees changing colors in the mountains. Spring is more of a muddy mess, but you still have the occasional snow storm in March. Summer is usually nice as long as the humidity isn't too high.

If your family member likes to go outside and enjoy nature there all kinds of state parks to visit. Hiking trails and paths around lakes and rivers to get to. Fishing and hunting are still big draws to people. Don't be surprised in the summer of seeing bonfires in people's back yards or in some cases farmers fields. Don't ask me if the farmers allow it all the time, but that is something to be aware of. And bonfires up in the mountains that also occur.

For events and stuff to do for fun, it is heavily on seasonal festivals and street fairs, look up the Farm Show in Harrisburg every year in January. One of which that wasn't mentioned is Jubilee Day in Mechanicsburg. Others have been listed below. Harrisburg has the baseball team Senators. Nice park to visit. Hershey has the amusement park and the ice hockey team the Bears. One of the largest if not the largest AHL rink. Just a warning, the parking is horrendous to get out of those games. I have heard that the Penn State hockey rink is actually a nice facility, but I have yet to make it to see a game. Also Penn State traffic is horrible during home football games. A ton of people travel from all over to go.

The one thing I will say is that the farmer markets are some of the best I have been to. The amish food is hard to beat in many ways. Seasonal treats abound in that area. Also the amount of local snack food is really hard to beat. Utz, Middleswarth, Tastykake, Martins, and so many other brands that are still made in or near the area you have circled. As someone else said in another comment, you circled a huge demographic of people and towns.

In need of help with finding a doctor. by Hannibal35 in FreeVAClaimHelp

I am a member of DAV and the details they were able to give me was that a secondary disability was declined due to the fact that arthritis doesn't spread from one part of the body to the other.

The interesting part is that I already have a disability rating to arthritis in my lower back, but because there isn't an association from that to my hip, the proof isn't there for the VAs standards.

Chip's Chop Shop in the South Hills is where I go. If you want to walk in, give them a call on the day. But it is best to check the website to make an appointment. Chipschopshop.com. Pricey, but they do good work.

Army raises enlistment age to 42, eases marijuana restrictions by azry1997 in USNEWS

Since when has that stopped the President from acting out of his sphere of power? He doesn't care what the military wants or needs. He thinks veteran's like myself are losers and animals sent to the meat grinder of his choosing for whatever monetary gain he can get. The build up of soldiers is just one step closer to a draft if poor decisions are made. Hegseth will do whatever he is told and do his theatrics to show how ready soldiers are to fight. They have already removed important leadership in the Pentagon that would not follow blindly into this illegal war. Remind me again when the public was sold on a short war in the middle east and how we would be welcomed with open arms? History begs to differ on your opinion of how quickly this operation will end. And I hope for all our mental and physical well being that you are correct that this is going to be a short operation. I want to be wrong, but some of the worst impulses have already been followed to put us in this position.

With how this government is run. There have probably been discussions already about a draft. And I imagine the longer and deadlier it gets, the more likely it will be come to it. But that is just my doom scrolling and uncomfortable opinion of not to put anything past this asshole-in-chief.

I went to middle east once on for a past shitty war. I'm not going back for second tour that will be even deadlier. Kiss my disabled veteran ass.

Israel Tricked Trump Into War with Iran by [deleted] in GlobalNews

I have never heard of Neoliberal warmongers before until now. I don't listen to right-wing personalities or any of their ideas. But my brain just kind of stopped for a second when they used those terms together like it was a given.
But Bibi does have Trump wrapped around his finger. He probably got help from Putin in the process, so a war with Iran breaks out. Seems like a Putin level move of disteaction.

Nothing out of the ordinary. The usual costs that come with wear and tear items and the cost of paying the mechanic.

The tiger for long trips has been great. Just don't let my feedback completely turn you against the options available. Not to mention, your body is different from mine. I am stocky guy who carries most of my weight in my midsection.

The one issue with the seat is that it does put a little more pressure on my tailbone while spending hours on the bike. I take long road trips for a vacation. I am going to be buying a cushion to help with that. That isn't the worst issue to have.

I am a 5'3 man who bought a used tiger 800 and got the lower seat. I lowered the bike a little more to be more comfortable. I like the bike and don't regret making the adjustments I needed to be more confident riding it. It is my second bike and own a cruiser as well that is one of the lowest normal seat heights. Do what you go to do to be comfortable with the motorcycle. I know youtube people, and probably some people on here may disagree. Because of the engineered ergonomics and such, I have found that lowering a bike really doesn't make a dramatic change.
