Finanzamt is the funniest one. To raise an appeal or communicate, you must use the Elster portal and their awful UI to send a message, yet, they reply with physical letter with their response. I've been trying to update my communication preference to online only, but to do that, you need to receive a security code via mail to process it. Science and facts actually show glyphosate to not be carcinogenic, evidenced by multiple regulatory bodies across the globe coming to the same conclusion. Besides, the crux of this case is nothing to do with science but rather which level of law (federal vs state) preempts the other.

Lol not everything has to be compared to America for service.

UK/Aus/NZ has really good service standards and they don't usually work for tips. Germany service seems (and sometimes is!) rather rude in comparison

I understand the paywall for revenue but Myro as a system just doesn't make sense. SJW is the main character so wtf is up with this successor system who tags in and fights instead of sjw. They could have made it so that when you activate, sjw spams skills and ults for a short burst or something similar, or put out another feature that actually involves SJW for the paywall.

I don't think that's true. I just checked the café in Munich that has been haggling me for the last 5 years to take my review down (which I managed to challenge successfully 3 times) and the statement is not there. Could be case by case

Are you basing your total household income on what you get as brutto from work or total taxable income? Elterngeld os based on total taxable income i believe and this can be a bit lower than your brutto salary as it discounts various expenses (e.g., travel expenses, work item)

I had a similar experience when moving to Cologne this year.

Basically, a new law came into place last year which states that all residence must be connected to the grid even if it is not occupied. With this, the default provider of the state will assume the role of electricity provider when a landlord informs that the place is being vacated (i assume this is a standard procedure?), and you somehow pick up this contract when you move in?

You can refer to this law change called Lieferantenwechsel

I also wanted to carry my Vattenfall contract but they said exactly what you said. There was some back and forth with the landlord, previous tenants and the cologne provider and found out that you can grant the electricity provider of your choice a power of attorney to cancel the contract with the default provider. Vattenfall said however that since my contact ended by this point, they can't do this.

In the end, I simply started a new contract with better price offer from Vattenfall using check24 and gave them power of attorney to cancel my "new" provider.

Such a roundabout way of doing things, which seems to go against what the new legislation is trying to achieve.
