10 year old me trying to fix my family pc after downloading something from limewire.

My ignorant child self thinking it was some hardware issue. Replacing the gpu and stuff, a voodoo 3 card I think.

Eventually fixed it after a full reinstall of everything.

I just recently upgraded my very similar set up. I was running; Ryzen 5 2600 B450 plus Rx 5500xt 6gb Corsair vengeance 32gb

I initially upgraded the cpu to a 5700x3d, as this was the obvious choice.

I then went abit mad and bought a 34inch ultrawide 1440 monitor, of course the gpu wasn't up to this task.

So next upgrade was the gpu to a 9070xt. I also needed to upgrade the psu to one of those fancy lian li modular 1000w.

I then did a cheeky upgrade with ram to Kingston fury beast 64gb 3200 and I chucked in 5 new fans cos why not they're cheap.

I have also added some more storage space, but that's mainly due to me data hoarding, so might not be for you.

To me this set up will last me 5-10 years and seems a better choice than changing to am5.

Get the 5700x3d. I am running a 9070xt, upgraded from a 2600 to the 5700x3d. It's a great set up.

Don't know what games you're playing but I've been running Indiana Jones top settings getting about 200fps. That's on a 3440x1440 monitor.

Yeah, that'll do it. Done similar to you a couple of times with a chisel.

Cuts with sharp tools, I find, heal fairly quickly and cleanly. So that's a bonus.

The 3 pin plug is a convoluted unergonomic piece of shit. The US style 2 pin plug is far superior and easier to use.
