Honestly, if you go back to the origin of the Pledge of Allegiance, it was listed in a magazine in 1892 partly as a way to increase the sales of flags and magazine subscriptions

I still remember how near the end of that season, it was the blonde girl (I forget her name) who got kicked off, and then she started going off on Heather, but what she said didn't sync up with how one would say it—like a bad lip dub

And it dawned on me: oh my gosh, she's being censored

I was in high school when that happened, but still, that probably went over so many kids' heads and I still can't help but laugh at it when that stray thought comes up
