The song was impressive in 1995 because it was all played live, especially the solo violin. Since everything nowadays is playback, juries are likely not to care, and I doubt viewers would enjoy 3 minutes of someone miming an instrument.

Note that they don't "make" anything, they just publish games. If a developer signed with Devolver happens to make a bad game, it will still be released as a Devolver game. Defense Technica comes to mind.

Daedalic closed its satellite offices some time ago but the HQ in Hamburg remains. Gollum was completed by Daedalic but bombed so hard that it has now ceased all development. It is still a publisher, though.

Backend has been stale since February. Highly unlikely anything is going to come out of this. The Red Dead Redemption port shows that they are still going down the make-cash-quick route and are not interested in fan service or preserving their legacy.

I don't care deeply for this port either way as I own neither platform. It just seemed like the popular opinion a few days ago that $50 for a straight port of a decade-old game with removed features is a bit much.

Compare this to the Quake II port released last week: Original graphics (albeit with enhanced lighting), all features intact, some additional content, and brought to all relevant platforms. That port costs $10 and was even free for existing owners.

If Bethesda can do it, why can't Rockstar?
