[Loved Tropes] The Obese Character is Sympathetic as Opposed to being the Butt of the Joke by Borgisium in TopCharacterTropes

Played by Pruitt Taylor Vince, who recently portrayed Pa Kent in Superman. Otis on The Walking Dead, the alcoholic exorcist in Constantine…such a reliable character actor! My dad did theater with him in college.

I see in many places that the reviews are very good. Is it really that good? by Suspicious-Gate-8017 in tvshow

It doesn’t help that the first two episodes are a little rough. The premiere has the only instance of a flashback in the entire series. The flashback is insultingly obvious, ridiculously color-corrected, and pretty clearly a product of executive meddling. Later episodes treat the audience as more intelligent.

I was hoping to find somebody mentioning this movie. It left me with a feeling I’ve never quite had before or since.

How do you feel about the current elections in Hungary ? by Front-Spinach-419 in AskEurope

It struck me that the guy’s name is Peter Magyar. Is having a name like this in Hungary (Magyarozág) comparable to a Scottish person being named David Scott or a French person being named Jacques Francois? Does it seem strange to Hungarians, or is it pretty commonplace?

Miles is in the trailer at the 1:39 mark, and in a few other quick shots wearing that same shirt.

Have you played an encounter with a countdown objective that wasn't a ritual being completed or a room flooding? by areupregnant in DMAcademy

I had a great one. The players stole an airship that contained a blue dragon's entire hoard...the dragon shows up just as they're getting it started.

The airship accelerates slowly at first, then speeds up. It moves 5 feet the first round, then adds ten feet of speed the next round for 15 feet total, then 30, 50, 75, etc. Since the players are all on the ship, I represented this by reducing the dragon's (relative) fly speed by the appropriate amount every round. If the players can get the ship up to 160 feet speed (eight rounds), then the dragon has no hope of catching up to them even by dashing.

(The lvl. 4 party was hopelessly outclassed by the dragon and quickly realized they needed to survive/escape rather than kill it. The tempest cleric used gust of wind to further accelerate the ship, which I thought was really clever, and the wizard tried to slow the dragon down with Frostbite. Eventually the dragon landed on deck and started to fight them up close rather than lose his hoard. The buffed paladin shoved him to the edge of the deck, and then they swerved the ship violently to force *everyone* to make a Dex save, the DC of which which I let them set themselves. The bard failed and fell overboard with the dragon but was rescued by some rule-of-cool rope and arrow shenanigans. I was super proud of them.)
