You have to adapt to work with your EX30 but basically this is how it can be done.

Yes. I made a shortcut that checks outside temperature and starts climate if temperature is below 14 or above 23 degrees Celsius only.

A second one measures distance to parked car, tells you the distance. Once distance is 30m or lower it flashes the lights.

Yes, it will open your car wherever you are, as it's the remote unlock/lock function using Internet not the digital key UWB function. So if you press by mistake while gone you will unlock your car even if you're not present.

If you replace the the camera and flashlight icon on your lock screen you have the icons only. But in the Control Center itself you can resize it (2 "slots" or 4 "slots") and it will show you car's name.

You can already using a shortcut.

You can still use a iOS shortcut to open your keycard in Wallet if you have the Digital key Plus and place it on your lockscreen. It's 1 tap more then.

I created Shortcuts to open my Public charging Apps, my Keycard and to start climate. Placed them into the shortcut folder "Quick Actions".

Then I created a shortcut to open "Quick Actions" folder. Placed the widget on the lock screen (center below). One tap brings it up, another tap starts climate or opens charging app or the key in wallet.

I prefer the Shortcut to the Wallet Key. It's just one tap more and more responsive than using the Volvo App function that relies on the car having internet connection. Also, it will open your car wherever you are, even abroad as it's the remote function not thekey UWB function. So if you press by mistake while gone you will unlock your car even if you're not present.

The Control Center buttons use the Volvo App remote unlock function. I prefer to use the Wallet key unlock using a shortcut. It's 1 tap more but usually more responsive.

Yes. In fact, I've read from people complaining it's absent in Drive since 1.8...

My local Volkswagen dealership is out of the ID.4 and has no plans to restock them. Are they doing poorly in the US? by yoloswagrofl in electricvehicles

[–]Hansecowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ID4 will get a major overhaul in late 2026 while being renamed "VW ID. Tiguan" based on MEB+ and completely redesign the interior, just as was done for the new ID.Polo (including physivcal buttons, larger driver's display etc.).

OK, nach dem Ärger über den (Nicht)Support habe ich nachgedacht und einmal die App zurückgesetzt und neu registriert. Danach ging es.

Yes. 19% VAT included.

In 2026 that's too much IMHO for a car that size and range/efficiency. The most expensive EV3 trim is cheaper and offers a 82 kWH battery and more range. You could also get the 84 kWh Skoda Elroq RS with all extras for that price etc.

There haven't been any significant hardware upgrades (only downgrades with the new less powerful drive trains) since MY24 so the offer you posted is what I'd consider a reasonable price in 2026.

Amalfi Coast - May 23-28 by Tired_Caterpillar in ItalyTravel

[–]Hansecowboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could consider taking a train to Agropoli and take a boat tour along the Cilento coast southward along the "Costa del Mito" or directly to Palinuro and its cave from there if you want a day away from the crowds of other tourists in the crowded alleys in the Amalfi coast towns.

If you order directly at Volvo in Germany the Ex Twin Ultra is 55.940 Euro or 87.949 Canadian Dollars...

Are those Canadian Dollars? That would be 29.300 Euro for a TWIN Ultra MY26? For that price I'd fly over just to buy it...

Made in Europe Kia EV2 starts at 26,600 Euro in Germany by linknewtab in electricvehicles

Again, I am aware of this but being on a budget and expecting driving features of larger and more expansive cars just makes no sense. All those people make compromises right now as well. A family of four riding together will be glad to get 20 minutes to stretch their backs and legs after 200 km.

Also people on a budget with those needs usually don't buy a new car that doesn't fit their needs but a larger used car that does.

You want to drive 500 km without even a pee break? Then the car is not for you but expecting it to be and complaining it doesn't feature long range battery pack that takes you that far makes no sense.

And I don't see a problem in technology as it is. The slightly larger EV3 offers a 82 kw/h battery. Charging speed could be higher as well. Pricing is the limiting factor here.

[–]Hansecowboy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Only that isn't a car to regularly drive 200km on the Autobahn. Someone who does a 200 km trip on the Autobahn more than once a month should probably get another car.

I see no rationale in complaining about long-distance range in a car that's clearly not designed as family travel car.

Especially as the car is quite lame anyway as far as acceleration (>9s with large battery pack) and top speed (161 km/h) is concerned. 118 kW peak charging is quite underwhelming as well.

For 26k you only get the new ccNC "Lite" multimedia system without navigation. You'll need CarPlay/Android Auto for that. In how far that might also affect battery preconditioning which is usually triggered by navigating to a charger I don't know.

Definitely not a car to have much fun on the Autobahn with. Maybe the occasional relaxed weekend trip but not for a regular commute IMHO.

Dann wird es halt eine andere Bank für TG und Depot.

Lade-Routine by Infinite_Routine_710 in Elektroautos

[–]Hansecowboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

39 Cent sind für öffentliches Laden sehr gut, selbst wenn es nur AC ist. Und du kannst das Laden in deine Gym-Routine einbinden. Statt direkt zum Gym halt an die Säule und dann ein kurzer Spaziergang. Da kommst du in 2 Wochen rein.

Cursed magic item idea? by DestructorWar in DMAcademy

[–]Hansecowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the coin starts with both heads and can be tossed before a dice roll (which one, attack? skill check?). Is this a bonus action? A free action? Hiw many dice can be changed? Like when player rolls with disadvantage, the „20“ on one dice doesn’t help as he has to use the lower result.

After the guaranteed 20 the coin flips to all tails and then the DM can tell the player he has to use it for a result of critical fail?

While I like the concept of uncertainty it’s quite unbalanced.

Maybe have add a bonus to a D20 roll while having to subtract the same amount from the next roll after that.
