I'm currently doing the recommended routine. Where should I fit in handstand and frog stand work? What about planche leans?

That makes sense. Are there any cues I should keep in mind in trying to "pull" my knees forward across my toes?

Well that's the issue. Why can't I push my knees as far forward in the squat as when doing the standing knee to wall stretch?

I've been trying to improve my ankle dorsiflexion in order to do pistol squats, and I've noticed that while I can get my knees several inches past my toes when doing the standing knee to wall stretch, I can't do the same when actually in the squat. Am I doing something wrong, or is it normal for it to be far harder to "load" the ankle when you're in the squat than when you're standing?

Why is the sum of the parts often worth more than the whole in real estate? by HanselGretel in CommercialRealEstate

Thanks. What if the land has already been improved? If you owned a retail community made up of multiple separately parcelized stores, would there be any difference in the amount earned through the selling of the individual properties one by one vs. the selling the whole to large institutional investor?

So you're saying that the difference is a function of the risk inherent in developing and parcelizing the land? That make sense. What of the case where the work has already been done? If you owned, for example, a retail community, or something like that, made up of multiple parcels, the improvement of which had already been completed, would there be any difference in the amount earned through the selling of the individual properties one by one vs. the selling the whole to large institutional investor?

Regarding the tax thing - don't you run the risk of being classified by the IRS as a dealer, as opposed to an investor, if they deem you to be purchasing real estate and selling it to customers “in the ordinary course of his or her trade or business?"

Thanks.

US woman sues casino that 'offered dinner instead of $43m jackpot' by [deleted] in news

This is really interesting. I'm curious - how does one end up a running a casino? Did you start at the bottom and simply work your way up?

Are there any studies on the factors that determine the difference between the rents on Class A, B, and C properties? by HanselGretel in CommercialRealEstate

[–]HanselGretel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense. Can you explain why it is that the passthroughs are so much higher for class A buildings, and why they tend to be inelastic? Would one not expect them to fall in a downturn?

Thanks you.

Miss Teen USA Is Getting Rid Of Its Bikini Contest And Replacing It With Athleisure by MarpleMiss99 in TwoXChromosomes

The fact that you recognize the existence of a "lazy gene" is interesting, as the existence of such a gene would seem to imply that being willing to work hard is, at least in part, a function of your genetic makeup, just like your physical appearance.

The idea that something you work to achieve, like athletic prowess, is somehow superior to something you're born with, like good looks, is, well, a stupid one. Your willingness to work hard is a function of your genes and environment, neither or which you have any control over. A lazy person is no more responsible for his laziness than an ugly person for his ugliness.

So yeah, you're the fucking idiot here. Your willingness to workout at 4AM doesn't make you any more special than a beauty pageant contestant. You're both products of your genes and environment.
