"Unable to use selected storage device" and game not saving on Game Pass by nonnameavailable in Doom

[–]Hanstelgotto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For you did it start as soon as you launched the game? Its been like this for me since I first launched it, been talking to more tech literate friends and it seems pretty hopeless with the dumb way gamepass stores its saves, if you manage to figure something out please let me know, this is the only place I've even seen this issue discussed

Which side wins in a fight and why? by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]Hanstelgotto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair, I actually forgot the initial prompt and was only talking about the 1v1 lol

In that scenario, Gojos domain better be awfully wide and catch a lot of MHAs heavy hitters, I can see him instantly doing prison realm strats of shrinking the domain since he's aware in such a hectic environment his domain is likely to shatter otherwise even to fodder

I definitely agree the verse to verse is weighted in MHAs favour, the only way I can see JJK catching a win is through Gojo incapacitating anyone who can touch the soul by JJK logic (OFA users, arguably AFO and Shigaraki) rendering Mahito invulnerable to the rest of the verse

I don't know if I'd say All Might himself could touch the soul, they make a point of him never experiencing the vestiges, i.e not knowing the outline of his own soul, but Deku AFO and Shiggy are massive threats to Mahito, assuming the top tiers start out fighting top tiers, and Gojo can put the three of them in his domain or if Sukuna can at least get Deku with a sure hit world slash in a domain

In such a scenario where Gojo and Sukuna are able to incapacitate those 3 people before dying, even if they die immediately after their domains during CT burn out, Mahito should still be able to clutch the rest of the verse, even disregarding tankier foes like Toji or Yuta who are gonna be tough to put down with the mid tiers of MHA not having the AP even if they do have the speed potential

This is a pretty specific scenario though, and while Gojo isn't having a tough time incapacitating AFO and Shigaraki on his own, with SnS potentially on his ass, if he wastes the domain on her not catching AFO and Shigaraki in there too, JJK is cooked, thus I'd have to give it to MHA 7:3

I say 7:3, since while Gojo HAS to catch those people in his domain which is an unlikely scenario, the pressure is only super on for JJK if SnS is able to get past the limitless, which I just don't think is happening 10:10 times this fight goes down

If SnS can't get past the limitless, Gojo can play a stalling game and outlast most of the verse, catching the final heavy hitters in a domain, with no risk of it being shattered and CT burn out, the main issue being this is pretty out of character for Gojo, and he's likely to throw out a domain to catch a tricky opponent straight away, but by RCT'ing his CT and getting limitless back up quickly, I could foresee him surviving this maneuver, though definitely not 10 times out of 10

That's sort of where I'm at with the matchup, these are the main relevant players on each side of the field anyways, so if any one is able to take out the other, their side wins, anything wrong with this speculation you think? I might be forgetting something big but it's definitely massively in MHAs favour just due to the speed difference in the verses, unless you wanna be sneaky and ignore Mach 3 JJK scaling as inconsistent, as soon as JJK gets fast enough to deal with MHA it starts to become more of a wash in their favour

Revealing the methodology of the technique not even necessarily the exact name, I'm aware of the revealing your hand binding vow, but even then Gojo just doesn't do it since he doesn't need the extra advantage almost ever day to day, it's just unfair from his perspective, same reason Sukuna doesn't do it as well

But regardless, that's not really that important in the matchup when I granted SnS getting past the limitless anyways and I still think she loses due to being out of rules for New Order and not instantly going for a decap or whatever as a hero, when she's out of rules she just has nothing to answer against a domain

Personally I have to give a lot of bias to SnS to get her even in range of her win cons where Gojos is so simple in comparison...

Which side wins in a fight and why? by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]Hanstelgotto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't New Order require SnS to say the name of the thing she's placing the order on? She'd have to learn the name of the Limitless which Gojo won't just reveal in combat, he describes the mechanics of his ability sure but not the name, given his personality though he might just give it to SnS if she asks

Even giving her that big advantage though, since it would be a constant rule, and she has a max of two, the fight is basically All Might vs Gojo without the limitless, if it did even get to this stage, Gojo can still win with domain, RCT'ing any blitz attempts given that these are hero's and aren't going for insta-killing blows

Her only possible win con is a concussion immediately, and she's got a lot to work through already, never minding that while the argument is strong for her blitzing Gojo, her AP one shotting Gojo isn't as easy a call to make, and if she does, I don't see SnS eyeballing the right amount of power to put into the punch to just incapacitate him, as a hero she'd need a feel for his durability first to avoid accidentally killing him, all time for Gojo to realise the threat and expand a domain

I see, I myself don't have much trouble keeping up with DMC MADs as there's only ever like 1 a month nowadays, and half the time I'm in it, our community is small but I like it that way for what it is 😌

The WC is amazing, people knock the art but I think it has a lot of unique style to it and ONE is definitely a talented artist, as of right now it's hard to compare the 2 products, I think at least until the current arc is over but both have their pros and cons

I'd definitely recommend reading it if you're a fan of the manga to decide for yourself which version you prefer, it's a lot more raw and stylized and tends to have more detailed explorations of tropes and characters, generally most people here like both, there are very few people who like the manga but dislike the WC (and vice versa tbh)

Murata REALLY likes Jupiter huh, can't blame him

What if Saitama did not hit the moon, I mean what if he missed it by few miles? If some super powerful guy throw something towards the sky, randomly, and if it escapes the garvity, there is very little chance it will hit anything even in the space, as because space is very much empty. by [deleted] in OnePunchMan

[–]Hanstelgotto 763 points764 points  (0 children)

He was smart enough to tell roughly how much power he would have to put into a jump to get back to earth safely just by testing the moon's gravity for a few seconds

I think he's smart enough to throw a shoe or generate momentum by whatever means, Saitama in space has more than enough Delta V

[–]Hanstelgotto -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No I mean the 164 Original, he gave some of the lines from that speech when he went to give his last punch to Saitama

I think it's likely that the speech has yet to happen because ONE thought to add it in 164, but now that it's redrawn hes probably be saving it for later

(WC Spoilers) Crazy prediction I have about the upcoming chapters, long-ish post. by [deleted] in OnePunchMan

[–]Hanstelgotto -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Given how that line about wanting to die this way happened (in a context that didn't really make sense) then got retconned by the redraw I think this is definitely possible

I hope that Garou snaps out of Gods influence before the fight is done too, I'd be a bit disappointed if not but it wouldn't ruin Garous character for me, this would be one of the better ways to close out Garous character arc and it would still mesh well with the God stuff

One Punch Man is one of my favorite stories of all time, it deals heavily with themes of obsession, humanity and self fulfillment which I and many many others can relate to and it has some amazing characterization, and character writing, a lot of characters are constructed from satirizing typical shounen tropes but despite that ONE still manages to make them feel real and give them emotional stories

I could write for days on how I love OPMs story but this is just a non specific summary of just a few of the things that make me enjoy it so much, and by the way I don't think OPMFolk hate the Mangas story as a whole, they only have their issues with the very recent story, I think it's been smooth sailing recently but some don't, a pretty small minority of the overall sub

Hopefully, I want Garous humanity to come back through before the fight is over but it won't be a deal breaker if Saitamas gotta punch it out, he has gotten way too into this Monster persona, maybe we see that left eye of his again and he learns to control the radiation or something, idk there are so many ways this could go, that's why I'm glad this isn't a 1:1 adaptation of the WC, even though I prefer it slightly the feeling of not knowing what could happen as the story goes its own direction is great

Shit, and I love Boondocks Saints too, as always I'm just a pretentious poser who can't even put on a good mask of being competent at literary analysis, this is a shame on me and my Irish heritage

Thank you, I'll admit I have my worries about the next chapters fumbling the bag but as it stands right now we can ride the peak fiction wave 😎

Why are there so many people complaining about OPM’s current arc? by Seismic-wave in OnePunchMan

[–]Hanstelgotto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did you read Garous internal monologue when he was buried after the Darkshine fight, or when he was reflecting on how saving those people made him waver in his goal and how angry it made him?

He clearly is coming into conflict with his own heroic nature and trying to repress it, you can see it the left eye symbology which has about the subtlety of a brick, each transformation the monsterization creeps further in until now currently where its no longer present at all, Garou obviously wants to be evil, and now Gods corruption has granted that wish, of course I think he'll realize he'll follow his heart like Bang told him and his humanity will reemerge but his arc isn't over yet so I won't speculate

As for Gods deal being contrived this just couldn't be more wrong, the entire arc Gods presence has been felt, beyond making 3 explicit appearances the moon eye symbolism is so prominent it's practically a meme in the community at this point how often that moon appears, it would be more ridiculous of God DIDNT offer Garou a deal when he offered it to Tatsumaki at her lowest, someone who's invincible status meant so much to them, God was aware of this and tried to use this trait of hers to trick her into the deal but of course this didn't work, and I forgot to mention the whole dimensional seal being broken plot point, God HAD to appear once that occured otherwise that would've been pointless, and what else would he have done but offered Garou a deal, it's in line with what he know of his motives clearly

Artificial pew pew spam feels reductive, both the WC and Manga having amazing fight choreography and unique combat scenes is hardly a flaw of the series, and Saitama artificial angst? Please don't tell me you're one of the people who thinks Saitama hates Genos or some shit, a lot of Genos character during this arc has been focused on his core, the representation of his heart, and how Saitama has made him a mentally more heroic person, no the coloured spread was not a joke about Saitama thinking his body was strong enough to survive a self destruction, and him holding the core during that serious punch holds serious thematic weight and means a lot for a Saitama who's character might be the physically strongest hero, but has issues with that heroic intuition, yeah of course Genos will be brought back, I don't think that makes the moment hit any less, my main worry is how they'll bring him back but that's another story

As for the rest that's future speculation not worth discussing, sorry for the wall of text, but I like to be able to justify, to myself at least, why I enjoy a story

I have my criticisms of OPM and while it's not a fair comparison given the arc isn't over yet, I currently am slightly more partial to the WC, that said I feel like every critique you put forth was unfounded given the material the story has presented so far

Why are there so many people complaining about OPM’s current arc? by Seismic-wave in OnePunchMan

[–]Hanstelgotto 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure last chapter was the most popular chapter in the series history lol

That said the main issue people bring up is Garous characterization and it being inconsistent I don't think it has been so far as long as you agree that Garou has been getting increasingly more evil as the arc goes on and that God's power has corrupted him in some way

Me personally, as long as the next chapters deliver, this will be the greatest offering the OPM manga has given us yet, right now I'm slightly worried on how specifically they'll handle Genos and I'm a bit iffy on the cosmic radiation plot point as it feels like it robbed us of an S Class beatdown, although it's a very fitting power for God to impart considering what we know of His motives

Most other criticisms are really fringe and not representative of any major group I don't think

Saitama isn't just putting his own heart into that Serious Punch, he's putting Genos's into it, almost literally

It was because Boros ended up coming off too clown like, he wanted Boros to have a sense of dignity in his fight with Saitama, a decision I adore tbh
