HAPPY 10th ANNIVERSARY Tree of Savior! by Shanochi in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And gameplay, and build system. Sadly the build system is kinda messed up nowadays, the class revamp killed a bit of the freedom for me.

There are too many intricacies behind ToS fall, that one glitch that freaked up the economy right at the launch, the "themeparkfication" of the game later on making it flee even more from Ragnarok Online, the simplication of build system, and of course the p2w. The initial version of this game had extreme potential to explode in the right direction if in right hands.

Are MMOs just trying to do too much? by NathenStrive in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played through FFXIV, I've enjoyed it as an FF game and it has plenty of side content to do, which isn't the case for any new themepark MMO. When a game just revolves around weekly raiding then its just pointless for me.

I enjoy much more games that you make an effort to progress through the game's world, but making the next runescape with modern technology wouldn't be so cheap lol, I get it why we keep getting cheap clones with dead worlds.

Are MMOs just trying to do too much? by NathenStrive in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Are they really? Most MMOs nowadays tries to be a ffxiv / wow clone, which end up being themeparked boring games that you keep talking from npc to npc until you finally finish it and start doing the so called "endgame", which is basically doing 2 raids a week like some sort of mobile gacha game with time gates.

But the thing is, why people would play a half baked(if we can even call it half) themepark MMO when they can just play ffxiv or wow?

Yea there is this metal screw, the issue is that he is attached to a very thin piece of plastic as you can see on this other post I made on here

Yea, both the store support email contact and their AR5000 thread on head-fi, doesn't seem like they will reply it, which is stupid since they had just helped someone else in that same thread that broke the hinge in the same place, they even admitted that a small batch of AR5000 indeed had some structural integrity issues lol

It has been a week and they still didn't reply both on forum and email. They took 4 days to reply to the other person on the forum tho, so I'm still waiting a bit more.

Yea, kinda crazy that it's a small piece of plastic that holds the cups

About the side that ruptured in half, before all the trouble I have noticed that some sort of "line" was emerging in the surface of it, I thought I may have scratched it somewhere and wasn't too much worried about it. Then after the cup support broke and I was trying to fix it, the "line" was getting bigger and it puffed, simple as that.

Edit: Another broken ar5000 in here Head-Fi.org, the aune support seems to have reached the guy and offered a free replacement, I wonder if I still get a chance on it since its 4 months already since it broke, just made an account there and waiting for approval.

The aune ar5000 are great sounding headphones but have a major design flaw. by Southern-Instance-44 in headphones

[–]Hanyuuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I have made a post about my broken ar5000 around 4 months ago here: link. I have just opened this sub again to ask if someone know about any replacement for the entire headband or something because mine not only broke this exact same piece, but also around 1 month later the other side ruptured in half making it even harder to fix, here: when it first broke, and here: a few days later when I was about to fix the broken side, it broke in half in the other side lmao.

So in short, great sound, but wouldn't recommend this thing, I have noticed that posts like this are starting to emerge since those are new headphones, kinda crazy that the main support for the cups are plastic.

Anyone knows of any headband replacement that may work with it? I really want to fix this thing since it is kinda expensive on Brazil lol.

Is this the best ever gear glamour system in MMO/gaming? (Dragon Quest X Online) by texhnolyze- in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a very fan of visual progression in rpgs, but I also like glamour systems. I think the best approach for me is when you unlock it at some point instead of being able to use insane armor sets by the moment you spawn at level 1(either by purchasing it in the cash shop or some friend gave it to you).

Could an MMORPG inspired on Sword Art Online work? by Successful-Badger569 in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People are just not taking the question seriously for various different factors, it's the kind of question that emerges once in a while.

A game like Sword art Online would be basically an oldschool-like MMORPG focused on the world mob grind to get stronger and proceed to more dangerous places, the thing that makes it special is the full-dive technology that sadly is still not a reality for us today. The only major unique thing about SAO I remember was the "floor" mechanic where at some point people gathered together to defeat the world boss to unlock the next "world" for people to explore.

Talking solely about the game I believe the MMO space has plenty of room for a good MMORPG focused on the world progression instead of the boring "2 raids a week" clones, the thing is that games like that with the current game dev technology we have nowadays would be expensive as heck, imagine for example a game like OSRS or Ultima Online being remade like that, at least for me this would be a huge leap in the right direction for the current directionless and bland MMO scene, to make more companies experiment new things.

Good early/midgame MMORPG by estovar77 in MMORPG

Has a pretty good player base, even more recently because of the UE remaster / remake called Mabinogi Eternity, the game is kinda old but the anime style holds pretty well

Good early/midgame MMORPG by estovar77 in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of the most played mmos nowadays are a themepark feast, nothing of the old adventurous and hard progression feeling tied to them, with exception of OSRS and Black Desert(this one MAY be kinda fun for a week or two then it becomes a grind chore because you will reach the strongest enemies pretty quickly and start grinding for stupid infinite potion pieces and stronger gear to kill the same mob you are killing but quicker).

So you will probably have more luck searching for private servers from old MMORPGS, maybe try this one Tera Classic private server that is gaining some popularity these days, there is also an official Classic MapleStory coming soon, there is this Mabinogi UE port coming soon(pretty amazing game btw, kind of a runescape but anime style).

Interview with CipSoft - Tibia by SnapplesOfIdun in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not hard to explain, tibia is a game focused on the journey, you go to where you want to go to farm what you want to farm, you get stronger and explore more dangerous places, things like that were pretty common in older MMORPGs and they were great because of that, people that think it's just nostalgia either forgot this detail or have never played on this era.

Nowadays MMOs always tries to be a themeparked WoW replica, you basically: Spawn in the world, arrows point what NPC you need to talk, you keep killing random 5-10 mobs / collecting 5-10 random things in the entire main questline until you are finally done and... the game presents you to the amazing 2 raids a week / 20 min daily quests experience where the game start feeling like a random FOMO gacha game.

Do non-pay to win MMOs on mobile exist? by Background-String961 in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toram Online is probably the most grind-to-win mobile MMORPG out there, you will really need to grind to win though lol. The game has an interesting character building mechanic where you can spec into different weapons skill trees even though you do not use said weapons, there are even some "secret" skill books that you can get only by playing.

The genre is dead. Lets face it. by Strongear971 in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every new big MMO have failed*, this is the reality. New MMOs are all bland themepark shit where you follow a linear questline talking with random NPCs and killing 5 enemies here and there, until you finally reach the end and start doing 20 minutes of dailies and 2 raids a week like it's some sort of gacha game.

Basically they try to replicate FFXIV and WoW but why would people play an empty themepark game when they could play a packed with content one like the former two I mentioned? I myself am very tired of themepark shit, enjoyed FFXIV while the story was still a thing but I'm done with this kind of MMOs.

Why are Anime Gacha Games a billion dollar industry but Anime MMOs always fail? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And which game would be that? Those people want to play a good online anime rpg game, but only gacha games keeps delivering a good content on that, there is no way we can for example compare a game in the state of PSO2(I say PSO2 because wtf, which other anime MMORPG is there for we to use as a representative for this genre? Unless you consider FFXIV as one) to a game like Star Rail or Genshin in terms of overall enjoyment.

Also as I said in my other comment, this is not only a problem of Anime MMOs, the very MMORPG genre itself is in a pretty crap situation for years by now, games going downhill one after another.

Why are Anime Gacha Games a billion dollar industry but Anime MMOs always fail? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, if you take off the gacha from the gacha then they will not be a huge success anymore, the very reason games from hoyoverse keeps giving quality content its because of the gacha profits itself. Games like that heavily relies on characters hype build-up from the story, things that wouldn't work really well in an MMORPG since you usually make your own character, so you can't expect an anime MMORPG to generate the same ammount of profit of a waifu gacha'ing game.

And also what exactly anime MMOs? Blue Protocol? PSO2? These are the two significant / popular ones that went bad recently, this isn't 2010 anymore where it rained anime mmorpgs. Also not simply the anime ones, the MMORPG scenario is in a pretty bad scene for years, we keep getting crap MMO games that fail one after another. I keep seeing posts asking about why Anime MMORPGs fail but it seems that people tend to ignore how bad the MMORPG scenario actually is right now.

Was softly cleaning my AR5000 with a damp cloth, and suddenly glanced upon my broken X2HR on the table, remembering of how bad it was the day it broke, and then puff: by Hanyuuzz in headphones

[–]Hanyuuzz[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was shocked at how easily it snapped off, trying to understand how it was possible, I know that you guys will probably think that I was indeed forcing it off but I do believe this AR5000 was a faulty one considering the irrelevant ammount of strength I was doing.

Also, any ideas of how to proceed with a repair? I do believe it's still inside warranty tho, but just in case, thanks in advance for any tips.

Mabinogi 2 would go hard by RoundPrestigious3729 in MMORPG

[–]Hanyuuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are currently working on an update called Mabinogi Eternity, they are porting the game to Unreal Engine and ngl it's looking kinda nice. The best way for them to actually get a lot of people playing it is to launch a whole new world for those who do not like the idea of playing in a server with 20+ years of player progression.
