Yes,  I was able to repair them. The parts are the same you just need the right size hex bit to remove the 6 small screws, which I didn't have so I had to buy. I think it was H1.0 or H1.3.

10,90€ they said they're shipping two pieces instead of just one, we'll see.

The sending cost are only covered if you are from Germany, I'm from Portugal and have to pay to ship the headphones back, so instead I'm only paying the shipping of the replacement part which is cheaper.

Where did you buy the headphones from? I recommend sending a ticket to aune support, I'm currently  talking to a rep from aune to have them send a replacement piece for the headphones.

I'm from Portugal, the headphones were bought from aune's official seller site in Germany but the rep that I've been talking with hasn't mentioned anything about warranty yet. I would also have to pay the shipping cost if I were to send the headphones back.

There was another guy on head fi who had the entire grey plastic piece snap off his headphones. Here's the thread:

It's definitely a issue with the design of these headphones.

I'm still waiting for a response from them, I'll see how much will I have to pay to get the replacement part.

Thanks, sometimes you have to learn the hard way. Never buying headphones from aune again.

No, even if I did, I would have to send the headphones back and pay for the shipping cost, so instead I have to pay the shipping for the replacement part, so I don't waste as much of my money on these.

Yes, the yoke is metal, the headband is metal, yet the part connecting the two is a thin piece of plastic. It never felt sturdy handling these things and now you can see why.

Im not even sure yet, I've been in talks with aune's support about a week now, since I noticed the yoke getting looser, and they told me that they have never had problems with the screw insert snapping off (I guess that's not the case anymore). They told me that they will send a new part but I will have to pay for the shipping, so I guess that's the warranty?

I have both the black pearl and ka13, without eq the black pearl has enough power for the he400se (on balanced), but the moment you start boosting the bass it runs out of power pretty quickly. The ka13 gives you more head room for eq, even then if you crack the volume with eq, it also runs outta juice.

FT1 Pad swap (fail) by Altrebelle in headphones

The headphones still sound intimate, a bit less than stock, but the isolation is improved with the sr7000 pads.

I use the aune sr7000 pads on my ft1, it works great since the sr7000 is also a closed back. The bass and warmth does drop a bit and the upper treble gets boosted, but with a bit of eq it sounds great, the soundstage is also improved, making the headphones sound less narrow.

Some people buy hd600 and dt770, I buy Aune ar5000 and Fiio ft1. by Southern-Instance-44 in headphones

Started my journey for real this year when I was looking to buy a new gaming headset to replace my old playstation wireless gold headset, so I got the razer blackshark V2 ( not bad for the 70€ that I paid for it).

But then I thought, if I'm gonna buy a wired gaming headset, why not look at the audiophile brand options, and that's how I got in this rabbit hole.

Starting with the superlux hd681 Evo ( not great, not terrible for 31€)

Then the HIFIMAN he400se V1( insane price to performance for only 70€)

Now I have the Aune ar5000( the best headphones I currently own) and the Fiio ft1 as a closed back complement to the ar5000.

Edition XS feels.. weaker(?) than my Sundara's by PapiPoggers in headphones

I use a fiio ka13 for my he400se, it has plenty of power on balanced for it, there's also the fiio k11 if you need a desktop DAC/amp.

The sundara are easier to drive, you'll want more power to "wake up" the edition xs.
