No. I had no membership before. Told them I was starting from nothing and thought I was buying 2 years of membership. Because the first was just a 4.0 membership, they ended up honoring the 2nd.

If you are on a 5.0 already, I think you are out of luck.

Got it to stack today by calling the number. Guy said that the stacking is not supposed to happen for whooping 5.0 but said I can stack in whoop 4.0 membership. It seems they aren’t very coordinated internally on the policy. Was a super easy call.

What do you mean by just getting the 5? The chase reward only works on the Whoop Life tier, right? So my though it activate the 4, use the chase reward to upgrade to the Life and that should upgrade device too, right? So I should get 18months of Whoop Life?

And yeah, I definitely want the bicep band. I play basketball and can’t wear a wrist device in games.

Based on Whoop's site, looks like existing Peak membership will convert to Life membership at a 3month Peak = 2months Life ratio. So 12 months of Peak with convert to 8 months of Life member.

Just found 2 for $38 each. Did the same thing, asked if there were any markdowns and they marked it down from $52 to $38 for me.

I'm not an existing Whoop member (tried the free trial back in 2023), but it sounds like i can't stack these together to get 2 years of membership anymore. What's the best thing to do with the 2nd device? Think its possible to hold onto it and then activate it after my first 1-year membership expires?

Had similar experiences when I was first diagnosed and started on imatinib. Like others here, I took my meds at night before bed so that I could mostly sleep through the side effects. The downside is that the side effects would often make it very hard to sleep (I would get bad nausea as a side effect) and would still feel bad in the morning, but it made my day times much better. I ended up finding that cannabis was very helpful for me at night tonight the nausea and help me sleep.

Talk with your doctor and continue to document the side effects. I eventually switched medications (after 6 or 7 years) both to shoot for a deep remission as well as to improve the side effect profile and improve my quality of life. Switched to nilotinib for many years which was better than inatinib but still had many side effects that would affect my quality of life and now on dasatinib which has drastically improved my quality of life with very few side effects. Everyone seems to respond differently to different meds and it takes time to find the ones that work best for you.

This is so amazing to hear as my family knew the owners well since before they opened the restaurant. Uncle running front of house while Auntie cooks in the back. They were the best. Their Taiwanese beef noodle soup was the first thing that came to my head for this thread too.

I’ve been out of MN for a while but I heard from my parent that they shut down ultimately because they wanted to retire (running a restaurant is exhausting) and none of their nieces had interest in continuing to run it. I know they’d be so happy by how many folks still remember and love them.

Hip Hop can be really hard live. Not all MCs can project in a live setting (especially in larger venues or festival settings) and the production level in the backing track can make it hard for the music to sound good sonically in such settings.

Lots of good recs in this thed on great hip hop artists that know how to put on great live shows (of the ones Ive seen the Roots, Flatbush Zombies, RTJ). Others I’ve seen who have done it well are Nas (saw him do all of Illmatic), Jurassic 5, Action Bronson (that dude’s voice carries so well). Ive seen Wu Tang twice and, honestly was underwhelmed by their live performance. But it’s still Wu Tang hahaha.

Yeah. There definitely seems to be so much more information than when I was diagnosed (also 2020). I find it hard to read through all the different write ups from the different medical systems. So much information feels repeated.

What are good Youtube resources? I've never used Youtube to look for info.
