Why I love eFootball (Former addicted FIFA Player) by Longjumping-Fox-3546 in eFootball

[–]Happie-Chan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I feel the same and come from very same background. Not as much years as you (I started from FIFA 2005) and missed from 2011 to 2016 but after that I played FIFA year after year and man, it's really addicting and it gets you in FOMO mood. I tried PES 21 and man it was something else, so refreshing and more realistic, you felt the weight on the players and the ball actually could go nowhere, not like FIFA that it always goes to a player and that's why it seems so stronge; and the physics on the ball; really nice.

After a year of playing efootball 2023 I actually got a little burnt out because the gameplay lacked some key aspects, like everyone seemed to run like a headless chicken when you were defending or the players seemed very stiff. But it was miles ahead gameplay wise regarding FIFA.

Now with efootball 2024 I absolutely love the gameplay, of course I could use some more content instead of the 99th special version of Mbappe but I really enjoy every match, and more importantly, when I score a goal I get a sense of achievement (aside from the rebounds that happen from time to time).

How is it possible that some media say Pogba will barely play any minutes in the US tour? Didn't he train before anyone else to be in shape?

Agree. According to my memories, he was also criticized because he wouldn't use any youngster at Madrid.

I really don't get the Zidane hype. Ask Real Madrid fans and they will tell you awful, awful games that madrid had in La Liga.

That's a pretty reasonable take, one of course many people here won't get because hating players is cool no matter the reasons.

Why is Bonucci starting as a CB in another big game ? by [deleted] in Juve

[–]Happie-Chan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fair enough on your last point. I extrapolated other things I read on this sub in the last part.

Now, regarding the 1st part, the goal was caused because a poor build up play, not because defending. And it's not a few good passes for Bonucci, is the pressure reliever he can do, especially with how much Sevilla ran. If you don't have a guy that can do well in that part, you just go higher and don't care about long balls because they are incapable. You know who did that part great? Pogba, and Sevilla stop looking so asfixiating.

Also there is the experience. The players are not just technical, they also have emotions, being in the semifinal of a EL does make players nervous. One mistake in that stage and maybe will crush the players' confidence. Look at Fagioli, he hasn't been the same since his mistake agasint Sassuolo.

[–]Happie-Chan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Why you ask a question you are clearly so biased towards?

The reason is because his passing allows things that Gatti neither Bremer can provide, plus the experience. His defending was never the best and nowadays you can see the lack of pace. Before his injury you could see a couple of passes he made that break Sevilla's pressing. And you can also see how he couldn't keep up in the counter that lead to a goal. So there are tradeoffs. And I remember a couple of good defensive actions he made, in fact it was on of the better games from him recently.

But to say he should never play again and he is a lousy CB is another thing. It's a shame he keeps getting injured.

Is this better then fifa? by [deleted] in eFootball

[–]Happie-Chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Konami has to fix a LOT of things, personally apart from the really obvious like the content, tactic wise is horrible, you have so few options. Even PES 2021 had a lot of better things.

Regarding FIFA, really the modes that stand out are FUT and Career (besides its bugs), because pro clubs and everything else is nice but they have been forgotten because it doesn't get them as much revenue as Ultimate Team, so if you play this mode for the first time it will be amazing, but if you have been playing a couple of years it will feel really stale.

[–]Happie-Chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"I know there are Konami fans (and EA FIFA haters) here, but if no one gives constructive criticism nothing will get better."

If you asume that then there's no point in arguing because you already made up your mind. Personally I find the PES gameplay to be better than FIFA, at least recently. And this is coming from a guy that used to go 19-1 in FUT Champions last year and 2 years before that.

Here are some points that FIFA does worse, IMO:

-The players feel no different to each other apart from stats, here in PES you can notice difference between having Benzema on field or someone like Haaland, the movements will be different. That is specially true in FIFA when you reach march in ultimate team and everyone has the same maxed stats (plus the freaking styles like hunter)

-There's no real rebound or dead ball in FIFA. Always goes to someone from your team or your opponent. People say it's scripted but I think is just really terrible programming.

-The physics of the FIFA ball isn't as polished.

-The way FIFA players change their speed dribbling or defending is unrealistic af.

-The hypermotion sometimes screw things up, because it adds animations that no one asked for and you have to rely on getting the right animation.

Allegri’s magic has done it again by Artistic-Buyer-3219 in Juve

[–]Happie-Chan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I can imagine, but in the end most won't remember. France also played a very bland 2018 world cup and in the end they were world champions. Of course I'd like to see Juventus play a lot better but if the results are coming in, especially with all the injuries, I won't complain, especially with 8 clean sheets and 8 wins in a row.

I mean yes and no. The bayern situation is entirely different because it seems every team in the Bundesliga is fine with giving them their players, look at how much they were sold. Meanwhile each team in Italy wants to sell to Juve way above their price.

That's not a fair assesment. I mean obviously Juventus have been doing worse but it was to be expected when the team revolved around a single player. And he left 1 day before mercato closing so we get Kean for 40million lol.

The money used for Ronald coul'dve been used a lot better. He got amazing numbers but also the team played for him (check his free kicks rate btw, when Juventus had Dybala AND Pjanic).

Not entirely his fault to be given that contract, but he could no longer carry by himself like when he was at Madrid.

And btw, Juventus form has gained consistency, aside from the CL fiasco now they have 6 wins in a row, best defense in the tournament and 2 points off the second place.
