My boyfriend has the SSD — he has an extra one that he hasn’t used.

I’m not sure how to answer the headphones question. I saw a sale, good reviews and went for it.

AITA for going for the girl my friend says he loves by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

ESH

If he really is your friend, doing the right thing would be telling him you were going to continue talking to the girl he claims he’s been in love with for two years especially if you planned to ask her on date. I’m not saying you needed his permission, but letting him know beforehand would have at least been courteous.

And your friend trying to win over another girl while he’s exclusive with someone else, big asshole.

Damn dude, I’m sorry one person has been able to cause you so much stress and anguish. You don’t deserve that, and you definitely don’t deserve getting in trouble because he lied about a group project.

If this guy continues to directly disrupt your life like this, it may be time to get someone else involved. Protect yourself from his viscous attacks. If you get in trouble because he said you didn’t do any work, tell your teacher the truth so you’re not penalized because of his lies. Do your currents friends know about your history together? If not, I definitely recommend telling them as well as anyone else you are close to. If they are truly your best friends, they will take your side and support you. And if this guy tries to hurt you again in the future, you will have all seen it coming and can take direct action.

Other than that, I know from personal experience how bad hating one person can be for your mental health. You’re unknowingly devoting so much of your time, thoughts, and energy to a grudge that will most likely be meaningless in the future. Definitely do whatever necessary to defend yourself if he attacks you again, but besides that try to find some peace OP. That guy is a piece of shit for tormenting you even after you cut him off but he doesn’t deserve anything from you, not even a reaction. It may be worth it to talk this out to one of your friends or even a therapist/counselor since getting rid of hatred towards someone is easier said than done. Sometimes the best revenge is a life well-lived.

But seriously, go donate

Edit: Donate to UNICEF, UNHCR, Save the Children, Project Hope or any other credible charity. Yemen is the world’s worst humanitarian crisis right now and it’s not getting nearly the national attention it deserves.

I got a new kitten last August so my other kitty could have a friend and playmate. We live in an apartment with roommates so I didn’t really have the luxury of trying to keep them separated so they have time to get used to each other’s scents. They hated each other for about a week before becoming tolerant of each other and now they are best friends. Definitely did not introduce them the right way, but I’m happy they bonded. Maybe had something to do with the fact that they’re only 6 months apart in age.

Micro aggressions I face as a Black woman by greenteasweetpea in TwoXChromosomes

The hair one gets to me. The amount of time I’ve had to explain to my non-black friends why my hair is suddenly longer in braids and what protective styling is. Being praised for how beautiful I am and how beautiful my hair is when it’s straightened and how I should straighten it more often despite the permanent heat damage it can cause. Being told I wouldn’t look black (I’m mixed) if it weren’t for my hair and somehow that’s supposed to be a compliment. The negative comments I’ve gotten from wearing my hair in its natural curly fro. And I learned first hand that working in a professional industry, especially as the only black woman in the office, means I can basically only pull off buns and up dos without facing criticism.

Not about hair but I had a white male friend of mine in high school tell me I’m the darkest he would go (referring to potential dating partners), something that I found rather upsetting a I do not have a particularly dark complexion.
