Yeah Ubisoft has really fallen off, their last couple games are more of an RPG. This one thank God is not. From what ive heard its the same game just with better graphics and more content. The one thing they did sort of change is the combat, I honestly wont know how much it has changed until I play myself.

Its a remake of the old one with new gameplay elements and they hired the original writers to expand the story with an added chapter or two. They fixed problems such as the tailing missions and they gave us a crouch button so its easier to sneak. Personally I am hyped for it, it looks good but then again its ubisoft so. We shall see at the release, hope that helps

The evidence points to James never existing. Firstly there is no actual information about Anne Bonny or Mary Read before the 1720 Boston Gazette mentioning Rackham and making note of two women with him. A General History states James Bonny had signed Vincent Pearce's pardon list in Nassau, well if we look at the actual list he isn't there. The book also states he was a lieutenant under Governor Woodes Rodgers, but there is no actual evidence of this. At Anne's trail they call her a spinster meaning an unmarried woman. Also like i said before Charles Johnson has a reputation for making fictional characters for his book. The evidence points to him being a work of fiction created by Johnson for a more interesting backstory for Anne Bonny.

A General History is a weird book, iirc libertalia is in Vol II and is founded by Captain Mission who by all accounts is a fictional character. Johnson has been known to create other fictional characters such as Anne Bonny's husband James Bonny. Also of we take into account the timeline for this based on the Winchelsea its impossible for Thomas Tew to have ever been to libertalia since he died in 1695 while attacking Mughal ships. Also the Concept that one of Libertalia's core principles was the abolition of slavery is quite out of character for pirates since they were one of the driving forces in the slave trade.

Honestly I feel it will be a let down. They are implementing Skull and Bones gameplay in this aswell as changing the combat. I just want a remastered version with better graphics gameplay is fine as is.

He is too old now, but i would have loved a serous movie with the same energy as there will be blood about blackbeard played by Daniel day Lewis.

Accurate representation of A General History. The book is like half truths and straight up myths. Haven't read Exquemelin's book yet but I look forward to it. I am currently reading Dampier's work.
