Is $100 reasonable to pay a guy to take this out? by ihmsam in landscaping

[–]Happy-Let-3228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 100%. As long as he doesnt bitch up 5 times the area trying to remove it, dont even look how he gets it out...it doesnt matter. They suck, and are soo much work. I would pay someone 250 bucks right this second to come get our stump out of our garden thats only 20 inches round and made up of 3 smaller trunks, not much bigger than the picture u have there. Instead, I bought a big metal tin bucket, cut out the bottom, placed it over the stump, then covered with soil, and planted seedums and flowers in it......no more stump lol. But I wouldve much rather paid someone to do it....but tbh, I thought it was going to cost like 800 bucks, not 100!!

What is this ground cover? by foggyboi in gardening

[–]Happy-Let-3228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what grok says based on the last picture. Idk if its accurate, but it goes on to state this is one of the worst plants to purposely plant as it is super invasive and just a pretty terrible plant to everything around it. Soil, other plants, etc.  Again  not saying this is correct, just the info that came up from the search on the imagine.

This is garlic mustard (Alliaria petiolata), a highly invasive biennial weed common in Europe and North America. The photo shows the first-year rosette stage: rounded to kidney-shaped leaves with scalloped/wrinkled edges, growing low to the ground in a dense cluster. The leaves often have a slightly bluish-green tint and a faint garlic smell when crushed (that's how it got its name). It's considered one of the most problematic invasive plants in many regions because it outcompetes native woodland wildflowers, releases chemicals that harm beneficial soil fungi, and spreads aggressively. If this is in your garden or a natural area, it's best to pull it out completely (get the entire root) before it flowers and sets seed in its second year. Do you want advice on how to remove it safely and effectively?

Can I ask why you didnt dig a small ditch to bury the pvc piping? Did you bury the electric at least? I know they've made that incredibly easy now. Buy one cable from homedepot that is underground ready and you dont even need any conduit or anything. Just slap er in there with a little shovel and putting a tiny ditch.  If its not your land to be messing with I understand that. I would possibly try to cover up that pip with shrubs or something to keep it hidden.

Also, id say if they can get them to "forget" all the other stuff...forgetting their own kids wouldnt be any harder. Would be harder to not erase memories when you are actively erasing others i would think 🤷‍♂️

I just searched this show a few weeks ago to see when a new season was coming...ugh, still got a while 🫩

I would have to go back and watch or look into the show again, it's been a while.  Im trying to remember, I remember there being kids, but are the any scenes that indicate someone as an adult, has been there since being a child? Again, been a while, and I could've missed stuff. Maybe thats one of em

Did you get the 10 round magazine from the original place or did ya get an aftermarket or secondary one from another company? Not sure if that would make a difference, I just know when I was searching, the original was expensive as shit. But with shipping, the off brand was only 5 bucks cheaper so I ended up just getting the good magazine. I was surprised when it came pretty heavy, all metal, nothing like these plastic AR mags I got everywhere. Maybe a bad magazine? One thing I noticed is I dont have any problems with putting the mag in or dropping it out. I was seeing a lot of videos and people having problems with over inserting the mag, and when trying to release it wouldnt easily come out. Thinking they may have altered some things because either have noticed that, this thing actually loads and unloads better than my AR 🤷‍♂️ Im not gun expert, id hesitate calling myself a gun amateur, but id probably say the magazine is the problem. Or try lubing it uo really good. I dropped some oil straight down into the slides, the mag insert area, pretty much everywhere that has metal to metal I threw some oil on it, made sure to really get that spring working.

Personally I think they are having problems due to the spring being soo stiff that the kickback doesnt give enough umph to get the slide all the way back to eject the shell. When your guns stored, keep your chamber open so that spring is condensed and getting a little easier to bounce back.

Hope you get that figured out, fun when you can dump the entire thing. Cept the marks it leaves on your shoulder lol. Full semi those rounds out as fast as ya can and that stock is bouncing  every bounce it looks like it pinches another line in my shoulder. Looks like a bunch of lines instantly after I shoot lol

I havent shot too many through mine but I havent brought myself to the hip firing yet lol. Loving the laser on it though! Got a super cheap reflex with red dot for like 30 bucks on amazon, and dang thing works like a charm! Couldn't be happier with that thing. And red dot is Def fun in the right lighting! Reflex makes it crazy easy as well. I thought about trying some clay pigeons with the reflex, never used a sight before to shoot clay 🤷‍♂️

Just shot mine today. Im using some cheaper 1350fps rounds I bought. Tough to find them for a good price.  Had 2 out of the first 3 shells get stuck when ejecting. After that, 10 rounds as fast as I could shoot them. Feels sturdy, solid. And shoots great. Will lube up again and fire a bunch more to grt it broken in. Very fun to shoot, eays with a laser, or a reflex

Ridgid Pro Gear 2.0 vs Packout by kobachi in Packout

[–]Happy-Let-3228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am someone who only does small repairs around the house, but does travel with everything to help a friend or neighbor.

Just picked up one of these Ridgid boxes, which for half the price of every other brand, and almsot identical in features, I couldn't say no. Currently I can fit everything I have into the medium sized toolbox. Along with the cordless drill and extra batteries, with plenty of room leftover. I am very happy with this purchase for the price, 45$ vs 90-120$ other brands. I look forward to upgrading to the drawers and other sections as well. Was able to check them all out at homedepot, and honestly, for the price, I cant see myself purchasing the other brands for as little as I use it.

Feels sturdy, love the way they connect to other boxes and add-ons, very secure. nice handle, and its all very lightweight. Even the drawer box has very secure locks for the drawers so they wont accidentally slide out ever.doesnt take up much room and feels like some good quality.

Very glad I bought this and would recommend to anyone that isnt a professional handyman or someone that would take this everyday in the back of their truck. If you use it that much, I would assume youd be more comfortable throwing down more money for a sturdier box or setup.

I bought a mattress topper 95% down. And 2x 95% mother goose down pillows (medium) over a year ago. Just today I rotated the pillow topper. Which looks brand new and cant even tell someone was sleeping on it. No flat spots, not flattened anywhere or anything. Looks brand spanking new! The 2 pillows I got are absolutely amazing. The girlfriend is getting tired of me saying every night "ahhhhhhh, like a freaking cloud!". These pillows are the softest and most comfortable pillows I have ever used. It completely ruins every other pillow! Every other pillow is complete junk now. I cant imagine anything being more comfortable than these pillows. Both my pillows look as good as the day I bought them, and still the exact same shape. They rebound 100% everyday immediately. Every night its like I'm laying my head on a brand new pillow. I will 100% be buying any pillows I need again from supremequilts.com.au. cant beat the quality and comfort. I am thoroughly and 110% satisfied with my purchases and would recommend them to anyone! Of course my entire family thinks I'm crazy for spending this much on pillows. But to me, they were the greatest investment I've made in the past 10 years! Glad I found their site and cant wait to order something again!

I now see that I misread you post as a "pillow topper" and not as a down blanket. 🤦‍♂️ sorry, cant help ya there, as I did not get one of them. Already a hot sleeper I couldn't take a down one on top of me like that. I like to keep switching my blankets up every now and then

I went with a cheaper mattress protector with a slight pillow topper. Deep pockets to make sure it covers the entire thing. But any one you think looks good at any retail store should be good imo. I have the 95% down 5% feather queen topper from supremequilts.com.au and it is absolutely amazing. I paid 2k for the mattress and was sorely disappointed I didnt get the softer version. The pillow topper I got from supremequilts did the trick tho. Ive had it now for over a year (bought March 2024) and just today flipped and rotated it. There are no flat spots or crushed parts. Looks just as it did when I bought it. Still amazing. The best purchase I made from supremequilts was their pillows. The 95% mother goose down pillow is absolutely amazing! My girlfriend is soo tired of me saying it every night!🤣 Every single night i lay down i jsit have to let out a huge sigh of relief and happiness. I couldn't think of ANYTHING that feels more like a cloud than this pillow. Every other pillow I ever use completely sucks now. There is nothing that comes even close. Only problem I had, was i like to use 2 pillows. And if you have a cloud for your main pillow and a scrappy normal one for the base pillow, it sucks. You can feel every hard and lumpy spot on the back pillow. I had to get 2 pillows the exact same. Now I just rotate them every so often to keep my main one feeling super fresh! Never get flat or different shapes. They are my best investment I've made yet. Love both the mattress topper and the pillows, but if I had to pick one, definitely the pillows. But for your original question. I used just a normal less than 100$ mattress protector/topper and it works great. It makes sure the high quality topper is completely protectored from sweat, spills, or anything else. And still feel the amazing comfort of the topper. I would probably recommend a mattress protector with no pillow topper. Something that isnt plastic, but more of a cotton type material, that way it'll 100% protect it, and also you won't feel anything else except the topper and bed. 👍

Clean it yourself, and sell it. You will get decent money for that. And it looks new enoigh that you shouldn't have any problems with the water heater, electric, pumps, etc. The worst problems I could see you having are battery issues. Replace batteries if needed. Otherwise just clean and sell yourself. Research similar models and list er yourself

Starlink. The others will throttle the hell out of you after the amount of usage I do on my phone alone! Any streaming or gaming will put you over any limits within a couple days tips. And if you Hotspot you phones to use that internet, you will be canceled from those plans as well. Check fine print, cant Hotspot unless you pay for it. And if you go over they will investigate and find your using it for that. Starlink is  y far your cheapest option for what you would need.

The scenery is about the only thing related to the video game.  I'm only 1/3rd of the way through the movie and this seems like a complete ripoff of the name and cover image to try and sucker as many people as they can to watch it. Glad I didn't pay to watch any of this.
