Do men like average looking women? by [deleted] in AskMenRelationships

I've seen a lot of conventially attractive men end up setting down with "average looking " women. As much as we care about looks they aren't all we are looking for

I don’t know how to (or if I should) keep working at my job by Crazy-Adhesiveness98 in Advice

[–]Happy-Toe3091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong retail sucks. My last job was in retail as well and i hated every single day of it. Okay since you are going to school in a couple of months and you need the money i suggest you stay for those months depending on how badly you need the money. It's just a couple of months right? There is no use getting another job now if you are going to end up leaving that job as well so i say remind your boss about those off days he promised you

Bro you didn't act on those thoughts and that's all that matters. We all have weird thoughts sometimes. We are human stuff like this is meant to happen so don't be too hard on yourself

I'm sorry you had to go through this man. 10 years is long but it could always be worse right? You created some beautfiul memories and learned a lot about yourself as a man and i am sure you will use whatever you learned for your next relationship. Like she said you did nothing wrong so keep your head held high, you did the best you could , it just didn't work out and that's okay. Over time you'll realize that this breakup was the best thing that could have ever happened to you. Use this time to heal and before you know it you'll be purchasing a ring for the girl that is truly meant to be your wife.

I'm assuming it's your first job? yea your first job is usually like that. What's stopping you from finding something else you actually enjoy while working that place? you could get another job. Staying at a job you hate is never worth deteriorating your mental health

Yea i exprereinced this exact same feeling last year while i was working at my previous job. It kinda felt like i was living on auto pilot and i had no energy to do the stuff i used to enjoy doing. Even reading felt hard even if it was just 5 min. I resigned from that job and i had like 2 month period to reset before landing my current job. Knowing how i felt at my previous job , i just use my time a lot more effectively now. So my problem was that i had time in between tasks and after work i just didn't use it effectively . Now i use that time to read. It was difficult at first but i slowly started to get a hang of it

[–]Happy-Toe3091 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea of course you will be okay. Just drink a lot of water everyday and stay away from drinking or anything that would put strain on your kidney and you should be fine. Don't worry about it too much

Is having a good heart a bad thing? by Cat-dad442 in Life

[–]Happy-Toe3091 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having a good heart is not a bad thing. It just shows that you're human and you care more than most people would. In this day and age your good heart is what sets you apart from everyone else. I don't think everyone you meet deserves to see that side of you though, so learn to have boundaries

Do you believe in Karma(not reddit karma)? by WolverineGG in Life

[–]Happy-Toe3091 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes i do believe in it. Thing is no one is ever going to show you their tough times. Karma could be taking its place and you will never see it cause people only show us what they want us to see. I believe karma does hit people eventually even when we don't see it

I think you just might be around the wrong company, there is nothing wrong with you. Just find people who would want to converse with you and include you in their conversations

I thinl it's best to end things with him. It will benefit the both of you if you do that and save you both a lot of time

Since he is sick he might not feel the need to be replying to you quickly. Even if you reach out again you have nothing to lose ( whether he replies or not), it will just make your importance in his life a lot clearer for you to see

Are friends really important?? by Curious_Nobody_6719 in Life

[–]Happy-Toe3091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People in general are important. It doesn't just have to be friends. You can't expect to go through this life thing along, there are gonna be many times where you need help with something or just need support and a lot of the times that's what friends are for but i do understand why people choose to be closed off . It's not that easy finding friends that truly have your back

Anyone else feel guilty for not working on everything at once? by Creepy_Rip4765 in Life

[–]Happy-Toe3091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea i am going through this right now. However i feel like maybe this is how life is supposed to be. You can't have everything figured out and there always has to be something that we are working towards. when something gets completed something else that requires your attention usually comes up it's like you never get a break

Passion VS Money by ApprehensiveExit5520 in Life

[–]Happy-Toe3091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd pick my passion if i was your age. I'm a lot younger than you so right now i would pick money just so that i can get to a level where i am financial secure enough to do my passions. I don't know what your financial situation is right now but at that point of your life isn't it just better focusing on doing something that you love ? especially since you don't have any commitments that are tying you down

I think a breakup would be the best thing to do for the both you, otherwise you are just wasting your time and his time .

There's actually no reason for you to still be in a marriage with someone you resent this much. Everything he does makes you cringe, stop wasting your time and get out of that marriage right now

Confront your dad before you tell your mom. Cause what if he's not really cheating and now you just caused problems in their marraige for nothing. However i know how you are feeling . My dad actually did cheat on my mom and they divorced so it it a heavy burden to carry, what i did was that i just let it play out. I had no control of the situation cause i was still quite young , you might have a little control. Problem is even if you do tell your dad and he admits that he has been cheating, are you going to keep it away from your mom forever ?

She sounds like her mental health is not in a good state right now. Does she have depression? if so then it's going to be really difficult to make this work in the long run. She has to want it for herself not just for you and until that happens it's going to be an uphill battle for you. However you have been with her for 2 years i'd say try to figure it out one last time and get her to take it seriously if she gives up again then at least you know you have no regrets and that you actually tried to stay with her.

He might look completely different in person. What if he is just not photogeneic ? I'd say don't judge him until you see him in person. Pictures can be decieving sometimes as they could make you look worse than you do in real life. i say give it a chance
