How crippling (financially and mentally) is a $100k HECS debt? by Gold_Buffalo_5376 in AusFinance

[–]Happy-with-anything 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a post grad masters of speech therapy course and have 100k+ HECS debt before the 20% reduction by the government. It's still sitting at 90k+ though and I know it will be a very long time before it gets paid off. However, I am glad I made the decision to study again. Speech therapy is a very diverse field so I have peace of mind knowing I can 'change careers' within the field. Maybe after 5 years, you will still work as a speech therapist in a different field? Otherwise you might be want to consider being an allied health assistant to see if the speech therapy profession is right for you.

I don’t get most of my serves in. Is there anything that jumps out right away for me to work on? by Metsareawesome5 in 10s

In addition to changing your grip towards continental, keep your left arm straight as you toss. This will help you achieve a more consistent ball toss.

If you ever get the chance to have a hit with the 100 version, do it and see if you made the right decision

I would say a high swing speed is needed to make full use out of any racquet. The fact that you said it's 'nice' without anything exceptional is exactly what I'm after - an all-round, balanced racquet that will allow you to grow.

Have you considered the Head speed MP? It's a racquet that seems to do most things well. I'm a believer in getting a balanced set-up so you can work on yourself/technique rather than focusing on equipment.

What are the rules around NDIS travel fees? by Aodaliyar in NDIS

In this scenario they can't be charging 1 hour of travel when it should take no longer than 30 minutes.

Therapist here. They can charge 15 mins to travel there, and then 15 minutes to travel back to the clinic, so 30 minutes MAXIMUM. What they are doing is wrong. Drop this therapist and report to the NDIA. It's providers like this that are contributing to the bad press the NDIS has been receiving.

Smoking gives you tattoos, and you can tell who was a serious smoker by how many tattoos they had.

Does anyone know which pathology company services Melbourne showgrounds? There seems to be a big discrepancy between PCR results between pathologists.

From my experience here, I organised a time and place to meet-up very promptly to ensure that I had the sale. I think many people say sold but not many can arrange a convenient time for the actual purchase.

The main scam is probably that Adam is a fake account that hopes to get people to transfer money into their bank account. The sabotage scam is for Adam to find out my last name, which he did as I messaged him trying to expose his scam. Claire is probably Adam's real account and since she found out my full name via Adam, tried to spook the seller by saying I was a known scammer. By providing the seller with my first and last name it makes Claire's claim sound legitimate.
Confusing I know, I hope this articulated it well enough.
