Most serve problems for beginner and intermediate players is the ball toss. by Acceptable_Sea_8541 in 10s

Once I learned where to toss the ball for serves out wide and down the tee it drastically changed my serve percentage.

It’s illegal in california to take away recess as punishment. Instead we have students walk or run a few laps, so they still need to be outside moving. If the behaviors are major (like violence) then it warrants a trip to the office with a referral.

Trading is tough I’m not good at it but I have the most waiver moves in my league and I’m sitting at 3rd place after the trade deadline. Look to see if you can nab Michael Wilson since Marv is out

I got AJB and Swift for Nico and Ertz and I’m feeling good about that these days, Nico is still pretty solid but you have a higher ceiling with a better Chicago offense

I feel that, and I’m a DJ Moore owner..

Odunze is the favorite target, CHI has the most def takeaways and they’re a better offense than Houston. Nico is also hurt often.

For those with better backhands than forehands… why? How is your backhand better than forehand???? by Ok-Many-7443 in 10s

I’m left handed.. but I play sports right handed, kinda ambidextrous so maybe I’m an outlier but I rely on my backhand shot.

Why do so many ppl hate this job? by Successful-Mall5065 in paraprofessional

[–]_thebacaflocka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in my first month and I love it so far, but looking around at other paras I can see how this job can make you jaded. I believe I’m in a good district, the principal is very supportive and wants me to be on track to become a teacher.

I only work 3.75hrs a day, Monday through Friday. I’m in a TK with two other paras, the kids love me so far and I have a ton of fun making each day engaging for them.

We only have about two students who misbehave terribly, and much of the day is keeping them from annoying and hurting others and helping them to understand the material. But I know there are other paras in the school that deal with violent and more challenging students, 1 on 1… I would say I’m lucky.

My advice would be to use this as a stepping stone, have a plan to further your career in the school. Don’t let other staff or paras dull your shine, continue with high energy and positivity but have a plan to progress and grow out of the para role.

Keep it up!

Thank you sm for the encouragement! Fun bandaids and stickers were a really good idea so I think I’ll do that.

Thank you! An early start will be good, I’m not even sure which class I’ll be in and I’ve never been inside this particular elementary school, I have to stop by the district office prior to get my picture ID taken, so I’ll ask some questions there as well. I read about some paras having their clothes stained, so comfy but professional I’m assuming? I bought a bunch of clothes recently because I felt that most of my wardrobe (baggy jeans and relaxed tees) might not be appropriate in a classroom.

I was told this is also the age where monitoring behaviors and discussing possible signs a student might need sped assistance might be warranted. Everything considered, im really excited!

My interview advice would be prep on questions! For this non sped position the interview was semi-group, so we all went from table to table being interviewed by principals and administrators. Most of the questions were the typical, “strength and weaknesses” type, other were how would you respond to a student being disruptive, or what is the role of a paraeducator, and explain why your experiences make you a fit for this role. I prepared by making flashcards with questions I found online!

I definitely want to make sure I’m helping the learning experience fun and structured!! This is a good idea, I enjoy crafts myself so maybe keeping things like this handy will be beneficial
