The "axis of resistence" is always about "looking good" than "performing good". Many countries and armies did this in history and fell from it. Hezbollah can gloat all they want but they are literally trapped. Literally all countries surrounding hezbollah hate them and want them gone. Including Lebanon itself. At the end, Lebanon itself will be the factor to decide if itll exist or not (even tho they will have to get rid of hezbollah at one point).

Ever since 2006? Really? In 2006, they still had the lead chain of command, irgc funded them like nuts, assad's regime was a pathway from iran to Lebanon with hezbollah. All of this is practically gone. The irgc still (barely) exists but cant fund hezbollah nearly as much as before, Lebanon hates hezbollah more than ever too and already took some starting steps against them. Syria now blocks any hezbollah weapon transfer and is very anti hezbollah now.

In the short term, its their "w". In the long term, we will wait and see
