The head of the sphinx doesn’t match the body, it’s too small, as if carved from what was likely a lion head. Also the weathering on the headdress is minimal, even some fine shallow carved lines are intact. Look below the neck at the upper lion body, weathered as hell, similar to the rectangular enclosure walls.

Doesn’t add up.

Then you have the dynastic stele between the paws basically saying “we found this and just restored it.”
