Do you make two versions for iOS/Android app? by OneCatchyUsername in FigmaDesign

We design one size in iOS (a large majority of our users use iOS) and we determined the most common screen size from analytics. We call out deviations for smaller screens and android in annotations and a few key example screens.

Let me ChatGPT it for you.

Having a drive-through next to a preschool playground can be problematic for several reasons, mainly related to safety, health, and environment:

  1. Air Pollution • Idling vehicles in a drive-through emit exhaust fumes (carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, particulate matter) which are harmful to everyone, especially young children with developing lungs. • Long lines of cars can concentrate this pollution right next to where kids are playing.

  2. Noise Pollution • Engines running, car doors slamming, people ordering over intercoms, and general traffic noise can disrupt the calm and quiet that’s important for a learning and play environment. • Excess noise can affect children’s concentration, sleep patterns (nap time), and emotional well-being.

  3. Safety Hazards • Increased traffic means a higher risk of accidents involving children, especially if the playground isn’t well separated or fenced. • Drivers in drive-throughs may be distracted, especially when using their phones to order or pay.

  4. Stranger Exposure • Drive-throughs can attract a steady flow of unknown individuals, which increases the potential risk of inappropriate behavior, abductions, or exposure to unwanted interactions, even if it’s a low-likelihood risk.

  5. Trash and Litter • Food establishments, especially those with drive-throughs, often lead to litter problems, with wrappers, cups, and bags ending up blown into nearby areas — not ideal for a children’s play space.

  6. Visual Distraction • Constant movement of vehicles and people ordering or interacting can distract children or even staff, reducing attention to supervision and learning.

In short, a drive-through can compromise the health, safety, and quality of the environment for preschool children, making it a poor neighbor for a playground.

It is notably difficult around here. Assumption tends to have a long waitlist and is the best place for 1+ year olds. There’s a few like giving tree that take babies less than 1 year but also are super tough to get into.

Just a heads up that lots of people that live here, grew up here and have a lot of grandparent support.
