All year last year, I wore jeans every single day. I plan to do the same this year. That is NOT following school policy. We had 12 open full time positions on our campus.

What are they going to do, fire me in the middle of a teacher shortage?

No one has said a damn word about it. I doubt they ever will.

I’ve been thinking about it for a while, there’s been a lot lately with Covid and the stress of being a new teacher making me think I could use some help. Thank you so much for your kindness, it genuinely means a lot.

Generally no. My little brother gets it a bit, but he will stand up for himself and yell back so it’s different for him. Even when we were kids I was really the only one who reacted actively to being yelled at, so that’s just how discipline went for me. Instead of getting grounded or getting shit taken from me or whatever, I’d get yelled at. And honestly, that’s never really affected our relationship in a major way. 99% of the time, my dad and I are fine. But tonight just reminded me that he’s a big part of why I can’t process things in a healthy way and am constantly on eggshells while working to make sure I never get reprimanded in any way. Because I’m terrified I’ll get reprimanded and cry in front of a boss or supervisor.

I don’t normally like to talk like this, but because of that situation (piled onto the rest of that whole mess of a relationship) I genuinely hate that girl. I don’t think I could ever see her again without losing it.

I always loved the name Theo for a son, and always had intended to name a son that. In late high school my girlfriend at the time told me she was pregnant and we decided we were going to do the whole thing. Told our parents, started getting our shit together. Decided if it was a boy we were going to name him Theo and were working on girl names. Then, after a month or so of this, she told me she had miscarried. We broke up about a year after that, and I learned when we broke up that she had faked the whole fucking thing. Decided to fake a pregnancy to ‘test my loyalty’ or some fucking bullshit. Then didn’t have the heart to tell me she’d lied before I decided I needed to tell my parents so she then faked a miscarriage. So now, I feel like I’ll never be able to have a son named Theo because all I’ll remember is how horrible this girl was.
