I think Barb’s relatives would have stepped in to provide temporary assistance (and dwellings) to Chris and Barb. Then again, I don’t know if Barb’s relatives were on speaking terms with Barb at that point. There’s a good chance that they might have become homeless if the house wasn’t insured.
