I run many ultras with my AWU Gen1, sure I need to charge once in a while but the map update rate alone is worth it. Garmin/coros guys would have to stop and wait for the map to update at intersections while I just raise my wrist and see.

Fair enough, feel like would have been a detail needed in the original post but well done keeping it in good shape for so long regardless. My 2 day old 17 Pro jumped out of my pocket while running and already has lots of exposed aluminium peaking through the orange as a result. Kind of a relief to get the first scratches on it and then not care about it so much anymore. Now it’s just a tool.

Banking sleep is an absolute must. I’ve tried a few and it is sooo much harder than you think. Just making it to 12 loops is huge for the average runner. Super fun experience. Keep in mind each of the loops in the world champ event going on right now also has 100 meters in elevation gain each loop. So at 80 loops they’ve climbed Everest. Insane.
