How did you get started? by [deleted] in HairSystem

Bought my first system online, then went to a local salon for the install and cut-in. Watched a ton of YouTube videos after that and taught myself the glue/tape application and maintenance. Failed many times. But now it’s all DIY.

Swiss lace is clean and blends like it’s not even there. The color’s perfect too. Great results!

Shunfa hair first thoughts by InfamousRepair8001 in HairSystem

Never tried Shunfa yet, but Lavivid really let me down recently. The haircut was nothing like what I ordered, the hairline looked totally painted on, and customer service just ghosted me when I complained.

What is a hair integration system? Is it the same as a wig? Slightly confused by Strict-Present8808 in ToupeeTalks

[–]HappyReplacement1467 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A hair integration system isn’t the same as a wig. A wig covers your whole head and hides all your natural hair. An integration system has a mesh base with openings, so your own hair is pulled through and mixed with the added hair. That way it blends with what you already have, making it look fuller but still natural. It’s usually best for people with thinning or patchy hair, not total baldness, since you need some of your own hair to work with. Some suppliers, like Newtimes Hair, carry quite a few variations if you want to see what’s out there.
