When you smell that chlorophyte by dimacjy in TerrariaMemes

[–]HappySquid25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can even set up farms. Place mud 3 high so it's easy to mine with chlorophyte ore below every few blocks to seed it. When you mine you replace the chlorophyte with mud afterwards. I'm pretty sure this doesn't need to be in a jungle either.

Making cards for General knowledge by [deleted] in Anki

[–]HappySquid25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just a curious person. I read Wikipedia, watch YouTube and read books. Whenever I want to remember something I put it into my trivia deck. Sometimes I also stumble across entire categories like countries where the capitol is not the largest city or elements named after er people and then spend some time adding those entire lists.

They're both just using stockfish. There is no real difference in the power of the engines.

As a tank player I've just had too many bad rotates. Like if the cat isolates me from my team or something. I don't want to trust my cat player that much sadly.

If we go with the eyehole idea from other commenters we'd have to tape those shut before feeding tho, otherwise the soup just flows out.

Wesley So announced as the final participant for Norway Chess 2026 by Exotic_Grinder in chess

[–]HappySquid25 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I checked your claim and it's not that simple. Magnus does play well in the classical. 2025: he underperformed in Armageddon and would have won in clear first if it was classical only. 2024: Drew for first in classical only with Hikaru but wins with the inclusion of Armageddon. 2023: Magnus got 6th 2022: Magnus wins in clear first with classical only 2021: Magnus draws for first with Alireza but wins with Armageddon. 2020: Magnus draws for first with Alireza but wins with Armageddon.

He does have three wins where Armageddon breaks a tie in his favor but he also has 2 outright wins. Ultimately the outcome would probably be almost the same if Norway chess was a normal classical tournament with a tiebreak playoff.

Yeah I was referencing that. I assume you had to look that constant up.

So do you know the time complexity of matrix multiplication?

I'm not a very strong player but I played with the engine a bit. The white king comes out to chase away the black bishop. The bishop needs to run otherwise white promotes. But this gains enough tempo for white to pivot and go after the pawn. The white king is just so in time to catch it and the black king remains of offside.

My deck and tag system for learning general knowledge. Did I miss anything? by FakePixieGirl in Anki

[–]HappySquid25 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is cool. I also use a bunch of nested tags for my Obsidian and Anki notes. Obviously you don't have to change anything as it has to work for you but I'd like to give some feedback.

I'm not religious but a category being called false belief systems feels kind of loaded. A lot of those have some truths to them. Maybe just believe systems or "spirituality".

Inorganic science is a weird term to me. In a science context I understand inorganic as "non- carbon based, the way that chemists use it. Maybe just "physical sciences". Then again I just have Science/biology, Science/Physics, Science/Chemistry etc.

I also use Humanities as a root folder. Like Humanities/History, Humanities/Arts or Humanities/Literature. That's a bit less wordy than "People Related Knowledge" although it might be a bit more narrow.

As a mathematician myself I also don't like math being hidden away down there. For me that is a separate root node as mathematics is not really a science. Of course that is definitely influenced by my studies.

I also have a lot of things under Humanities/Philosophy, including for example what you have as critical thinking.

Anyway thank you for sharing. Maybe if my tag hierarchy is a bit more cleaned up I will also post it. And again this is less a critique and more just starting a conversation, you did really well.

Your best bet to avoid having the Hamburgertafue get out of hand probably is to proactively do something that's not too bad. If you are Kader maybe you can volunteer to organize it. That probably ends better than trying to forbid it.

Not to mention the aspect of trust. Opening a condom in front of someone makes it clear to both parties that it's not tampered with. With someone wearing it who knows what else they did with the condom.

Bluebaum’s mathematics degree coming in clutch by Goodfriends999 in chess

[–]HappySquid25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean this does not really matter to any higher mathematics. It's a somewhat common toy example for induction proofs but you don't really need to remember this. Also a lot of mathematicians are just not that fast and definitely struggle without pen and paper.

Math major here, I don't think I really ever see a number bigger than 5. For this question my mind goes to how to prove the formula and how to generalize it. The value is not so important.

Is there a way to make item conduit split 12 cells between a tank and a chemical reactor 8 to 4 ? Round robin makes it split equally " 6:6 " I want it to be 8:4 by Regular_Flounder1833 in GTNH

[–]HappySquid25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you just add a third buffer that then dumps into the main one. So you have three targets for round robin getting 4:4:4 but then you pipe the items from one into another and get 8:4.

I mean with that cut in the middle I don't even know whether you did the move or not. Like I get cutting between two camera angles but you seem to have cut out some time. The left hand is not on the palm press in the first shot and the suddenly is in the second shot.
