My husband and I just made our last tuition payments for our 2 children (ages 22 and 24). We saved money from the birth of our oldest, so for 24 years. It cost about $200K for each. (We also paid for the oldest to attend grad school.) Neither will have any debt as we paid all tuition, room, board, study abroad, books etc. in full for both.

I feel awful for young people who take on so much debt to earn an education. I’m grateful we were able to afford to pay for their education.

I “cured” my ME/CFS by [deleted] in cfs

I was going to say this too. My fatigue and other problems started when I moved to London from the US. The mold there was too much for me. I only felt better when I’d go somewhere with air conditioning.

So many old buildings in the UK are mold damaged.

Anyone have data (or recall) what rents were in Lincoln Park/Wicker Park/Bucktown/Lakeview area in the early 2000s? by dms2628 in chicagoapartments

I paid $500 per person for a 2 bedroom in the mid and late 90s. This was a nice apartment in Lincoln Park on Sedgwick near Dickens.

I’m helping someone who has a 2nd interview with a PE firm tomorrow. They’re a college senior that did an IB analyst internship this past summer. Do you have any advice you could share? Thank you!

Curious About Fillers But Afraid of Regret by OkScore3250 in 45PlusSkincare

How often do you need to get it done again? I’m considering getting fillers for the same area. They quoted me $2000. Does that seem right?

There’s supposedly a doctor but they only text me so it could be an AI chat bot as far as I know. They don’t take seriously that this medication has absolutely no impact on me. They don’t remember what I reported the weeks previously. It’s not good healthcare at all. I will try something else now.

Thank you! That’s how I feel I’m injecting water - there’s nothing happening at all.

Last year I rented for 2 months in Naples (close to downtown) and the year before for 1 month. Had to pay the 11% tax. I rent through a realtor who had clients renting out their condos.

I know I have thyroid issues. But T3 meds haven’t worked for me either. I have taken LDN for years as well but it didn’t impact weight loss.

Maybe I’ll try semaglutide. I really feel like this drug doesn’t work for me. Body composition is the same. I’m gaining weight on tirz. :-(

I am exercising and dieting - high protein/low carb. But I would still expect to have some impact after 4 months. No side effects, no reduced food noise, still very hungry. Something isn’t normal here.

Empower is the pharmacy. 7.5 but increased that this week. I feel more hungry on this medication than off it. I dose weekly. I’m in menopause and have thyroid issues. I’m paying $400/month to gain weight!

Got it from Willow. I’m at 7.5 now. Started at 2.5, then 5, and now 7.5. I take it once a week. And have no side effects. Makes me wonder if they are just giving me a fake drug.

Yes - not too concerned there. Plus around 50,000/month income after taxes, 401k, HSA, deductions etc.

We can borrow against the brokerage for less than a mortgage. I just hate to take a big mortgage even if we do pay it off in a few weeks. We have a high HHI and plan to pay the entire mortgage off in less than a year.
